Be smaller.
Trimmer figures.
Not too loud, not too bold, don't take up too much room, don't be too thriving, don't be too independent, don't be too assertive.

Just fit into the box society has tailored for you, for goodness' sake.

However, let's strive to be dynamic, strong, fearless, and influential.

Let's occupy our rightful space, voicing our unique perspectives without apology.

And celebrate our bodies as vibrant and capable vessels, honoring their dedication.

We are enough.

Happy Sunday!✨

A wonderful way to start, or reset your day.

Meet yourself where you are at, and honor your body.

Allow yourself to breathe in each pose by staying there for 5 breaths.

If it’s accessible to you, elongate your exhale.
By elongating the exhale, you are activating your parasympathetic nervous system (which is responsible for rest and digest).

Allow your breath to flow with a steady rhythm. Rhythm is essential to life, moment by moment.

Practice Sthira and S**a; stability and strength, comfort and softness.

This promotes a calm and focused state of mind.

Malasana/Garland Pose

◾️Legs: Thighs wide, knees more than hip width distance, knees pointed up and above ankles, feet grounded, toes wide and pointed a bit outwards.

◾️Hips: Engaged, external rotation, flexed and lifted off the floor.
Sit Bones are active and lifted, pushing action towards the ground.

◾️Spine: Lifted from base, lengthened upwards, straight.
Back active and broad

◾️Shoulders: engaged, rolled back and away from the ears

◾️Arms: Elbows active and pointing towards the floor. Upper arm pushing inner thighs. Palms together and active. Fingers soft and pointed up.

◾️Chest and Rib Cage: Engaged and broad, lifted upwards.
Chin lifted and away from the chest

Engage the gluteus, hip flexors, hamstrings, pelvic floor and core.

BENEFITS OF MALASANA
▪️strengthens the feet, ankles and legs
▪️creates space in the lumbar spine and spinal column
▪️opens and strengthens the hips and groin
▪️it’s a grounding posture; it allows us to become more present and in contact with our true nature
▪️helps release energy, especially stress that may be stuck in the hips

Always honor your body, and meet yourself where you are at today.
