What can you do in 8 hours?
These are my kidneys. Every night I use these bags of solution to clean my body from the inside out for 8 hours. No matter what way you go through dialysis it's not easy. It's hours hooked up to a machine. I am fortunate because I can do these treatments in the comfort of my own home. Others have to go to a dialysis center for treatments. 8 hours a day to live a better life every day.

Today was a big day! My medical team decided that I my hemo dialysis port can come out and I can continue with my pd treatments at home. A couple of months I felt like I was at death's door now I feel more like little ole me. If you can spare a moment please share the link below. If you can spare anything it all help. There is are critical shortage of transplants in minority community due to chronic diseases. Minorities make up 57% of those on the organ waiting list. Cross matching...have you heard of it? There are soo many that need an organ. Cross matching allows others a chance at life that they wouldn't have otherwise. Donation is a huge ask and an even bigger give. You might not be a match for me but you can help someone else.

Do you have a spare to share?

I have been diabetic 24+ of my 33 years and the literal ups and downs of health problems have put me in a difficult situation. Currently I am in stage 5 of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and soon (hopefully not too soon) will need to have dialysis treatments.
Never in a million years would I ever think that I would have to go on this journey. However, I accept that this is where I am.
On this page I will give updates about my condition, as well as events and fundraising opportunities. Any funds raised will be used to pay for the medical tests that are not covered for my potential donors or myself. These include but not limited to, diagnostic testing, mammogram, x-rays, blood work, etc. These expenses my responsibility.

I am still very new to this process so as I learn we learn together.
