This is the perfect dish for weight loss that’ll keep you full and satisfied as well as keeping your blood sugar low so that you don’t have cravings between meals while having tons of energy!

To lose weight, you need to be in a caloric deficit!
Total amount of calories matter, even if you eat only vegetables. If the total amount of calories put in, is higher than calories you burn, you are not going to lose weight!

To lose weight, figure out your maintenance calories and deduct 300-500 calories from that. That will be the amount calories you need to eat in order to lose weight!

Once you know your daily calorie budget, then:

Eat 3 meals a day.
Make sure you include protein and vegetables in your meals.
Add carbs for fuel.
Drink lots of water.
I don't beat myself up.
Quite the negative self talk.

There you go, you’re on your way to lose weight:)

I DID NOT want to workout today. To be honest, I have not wanted to workout all week.
On my way home after work, I was convincing myself to take the day off from my workout and stop at the convenience store to grab
some chocolate. I'm being 100% honest….
Then I told my brain to shut up!! I dragged myself to the gym and got it done. It wasn't my best workout but it is done.
I’ve worked so hard and I’m not going to allow myself to go back to my old ways. Progress takes time and comes with hard work, sacrifice and consistency!

Trans-fats are found in two forms:

➡️Natural, which occur in some animal products and aren't considered harmful.
➡️Artificial, which are hydrogenated vegetable oils and have serious health consequences.

Artificial trans-fats are mainly formed during hydrogenation, a process in which hydrogen is added to vegetable oil to form a semisolid
product known as partially hydrogenated oil.
Studies have found the artificial type of trans fats to be linked to long-term inflammation, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes, especially for people with obesity or excess weight.

Artificial trans-fats, although damaging to our health, is commonly used in processed food because they're cheap to manufacture and have a long shelf life.

To avoid trans-fat, it's best to avoid processed food as much as possible, especially in the United States. That’s because manufacturers can label their products “trans-fat-free" as long as there are fewer than
0.5 grams of these fats per serving. And if you're used to eating processed food, the amount of "trans-fat-free" food could quickly add up to harmful amounts.

During my weight loss journey, I incorporated 7 habits that’s had a huge impact on my success to lose weight and keeping it off.
Habits take time to form, so start with one. Once that habit becomes "automatic", practice another one.
 
➡️I keep my food choices simple. Sticking to a list of foods that I really like, have taken the stress out of “what to eat”. I always start with a protein, then add my vegetable and a high fiber carbohydrate.

➡️ Protein is your magic pill for both weight loss and keeping it off.
 
➡️ I have a cheat meal than cheat day but have wholeheartedly whatever I like.

➡️When you exercise, you use muscle muscle burns more calories than body fat! Even when you're at rest!

➡️ Any extra movement helps burn calories. Look for ways to walk and move around a few minutes more each day than the day before. Taking the stairs more often and parking farther away at the store are simple ways to burn more calories.
 
➡️ I learned early on that if I plan my meals, I’m much more likely to stick to the plan. And I’ve been able to keep the weight off, because I food prep and I plan my day around my workouts so that I know it’ll happen.

➡️ It’s really important to get 7-8 hours of quality sleep every night. Lower quality of sleep or not enough sleep can upset the hormone balance in your body.
