We all today as youth have this issue of not being agreeable with our physical appearance. Comparison is another thing we do to make ourselves feel small and unattractive. We have seen that the perfect body shape is to have an hourglass figure for so many decades. Which resulted in turning a blind eye to other shapes and sizes of women and because of that so many women around the world felt insecure and ignored. However, body positivity revolutionized over the years but women still feel conscious about how they look.
so, let's just make you women out there love your body and appreciate it, and foremost to accept it!
Whenever you feel like you don't have the "normal" body size just put that thought in the bin. Because every size is beautiful if you feel so. See yourself in the mirror on any occasion and instead of noticing your flaws try noticing positive things about yourself. There's this thing we have heard or read en number of times, ' when you feel beautiful, you look beautiful.' Start loving your natural self. There will be certain days where you will meet people who will try to bring you down by body shaming you, well there's an amazing solution for such kinda days< "Ignorance is bliss."
Out there we have so many inspirations to look and follow their path. The body-positive movement is one of le best things to infiltrate social media. Even though apps like Instagram continue to house diet ads and influencers who promote skinny teas that literally give you diarrhea, it’s also flooded with pictures of stretch marks, acne scars, stomach rolls, and muscles. Some so many body-positive activists are out there changing the perspective of society and to name a few, Megan Jayne Crabbe (Bodyposipanda she's a "woman with opinions". Kellie Brown (Kellie Brown she'll surely give you the boost to wear bikini regardless of your size, Mik Zazon (Mik Zazon her content will definitely make you fall in love with your insecurities.
Even there are so many brands who are trying to change the view on this topic while making clothes for plus sizes or by putting them on their cover page while advertising their new products. Such as as ASOS, River Island, Monsoon, H&M, Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane and Diane von Furstenberg extending their sizes to cater towards bigger bodies. There was a campaign launched by h&m, Where the inclusion of Graham is especially groundbreaking because while H&m does sell plus sizes, it's not specifically a plus-size brand. In fact, Graham's curves are not the main focus of the campaign, which is a big step forward in body diversity.
You see, people out there are changing the stereotypical thoughts so you should not fear anything or anyone. Be the change you deserve to see so that more people will get inspired by you. No matter the size, shape, or color we all are beautiful in our unique way. It is high time to dismiss the body-shaming concept present in society and let us make everyone love themselves no matter the size, shape, color, or race. Let's be humans and show humanity and make this world a better place to live.
