I was honoured to be interviewed by Nizam Thonduru the renowned Psychologist and Hypnotherapist. We discussed the subject of the debilitating effects of limiting beliefs and how these beliefs are formed often in our childhood. Morning beautiful souls!!

How are you all feeling today?

Are you feeling a bit flat, a bit low and generally unmotivated?

So let's before I continue, take a deep breath and put things into perspective.

Up here in the northern hemisphere it's winter, it's cold and not much daylight.

We are living in uncertain times. Two years of Covid and restrictions. That is a long time. Any form of enforced isolation will bring up a lot of fear and confusion. We may have developed new habits some good others not so good or healthy.

Then there is the continuous bombardment of negative news in the press and political narrative further compounding our stresses.

We are doing our best to try to maintain our sanity as we adapt to a different normal.

So please dear ones it's no surprise that you feel tired and stressed. It's time to be kind to ourselves. Time to take back control. Step out if the negative and begin to take pleasure in this amazing experience we call life.

Here are a few suggestions for you to start to get your enthusiasm back. They won't cost you anything but will make a huge difference.

1. Every morning go outside and look up to the sky, take a few deep breaths and listen to the sounds of nature.

2. Create a goal for yourself for the day and make sure you finish it.

3. Get dancing!! Or simply move. Put some music on and bop!!

4. Smile, everyone likes to be greeted with a smile.

5. Treat yourself... Have a massage, buy some flowers.

6. Take your time. Nothing is that urgent. Rome wasn't built in a day.

7. Find time for things you enjoy, chase your dreams, don't lose faith.

And lastly always find time for you, your in charge of your life, your dreams, your goals.

THURSDAY THOUGHTS

CHOOSE LIFE!!

We are all in this life together. Yes, we are all individuals and appear different. Regardless of our differences, remember this, we are all divine souls evolving and doing our best not just because of but with each other.

We are tiny specks of dust in this galaxy we live in right now. So without judgement let's grow at our own pace and honour each others unique path. We are all a little torn and broken inside. We are all together on this epic journey called life. So let's all help each other to find our own unique path.

I believe we are here to heal each other and to traverse this journey called life together in our own special way.

Let's just help each other, put all those pieces back together and make it to the end more beautifully.

Let us help each other survive and thrive.

Trauma Triggers of 2021

As we slowly move into 2022, let us be kind to ourselves as we reflect back over the last year. We have all to some degree been traumatised.

For those with a history of trauma these last months may have been even more difficult. Anything that reminds us of a previous trauma can create a "trigger" where we feel like we are experiencing the Trauma all over again. The limbic brain thinks it's experiencing the original trauma. So symptoms such as fight flight can arise creating stress hormones flooding the body. This then leads to emotional responses such as anger, withdrawal or irrational behaviour.

If you have trauma symptoms yourself or witness them in another. Rather than judge think about how you can offer support and compassion. If violence is threatened then withdraw. Wait until they calm down and feel safe again. If you are triggered yourself, if possible retreat from the situation and wait until the symptoms abate. Be kind to yourself. Its not who you really are but a primal response to events that have wounded you in the past.
Seek help if it preventing you from enjoying your life and relationships.

The Ego Mind
Have you noticed that when you are about to do something different or out of your comfort zone, there is that voice in the back of your mind, it says "YOU CAN'T DO THAT" or "SLEEP IN" "TOO DIFFICULT". To overcome such thoughts the best thing to do is take action. Prove the limiting belief wrong with massive action. From eating healthier to changing career. The more action you take towards your dreams the quieter the critical inner voice will become. Of course there will be setbacks, there always is. But the voice of limitation will fade and another supportive voice barracking for you will begin to emerge.

Breakthrough to your success, you can do this.
In my life I have realised that more often than not its limiting beliefs and fear that hold me back. I learned that a lot of the data in my mind was faulty and preventing me from moving forward in my life. I blamed others, I blamed my circumstances, I blamed myself. Or I simply gave up and said this is my life and that's it.
It doesn't have to be this way, you can change your life and transform your circumstances.
Its an inside job, by digging deep and retraining your mind to think differently miracles happen.
My life life has changed dramatically over the years. I have had great mentors and coaches to help me.
Be the best you can be, you deserve the best.

What are your plans for December?

Gosh everyone is almost December. What are you plans for this week?
How about we start taking some actions to clear some space for the good stuff to start showing up in our lives.
Some ideas :
Sort out my wardrobe
Declutter my living space
Delete old email messages
Keep up the daily meditation
Create a new vision board

One task at a time is all it takes. It makes such a difference to clear out what we don't need anymore. Just a few minutes a day taken to declutter goes a long way towards making space for the new to come in.
