Protect your brain from injury by wearing protective footwear and ice cleats

According to the National Institute on Aging, about 1 out of 3 older adults falls each year, and falls are more likely in icy conditions. A slip on the ice can cause serious injuries. Staying active all year-round is important for good health and staying independent. Reduce your chances of falling by using a walking aid, wearing shoes or boots with traction, walking with caution on ice, and taking your time. Always bring a phone in case you need to call for help.
