While Henry did not have a blood cancer, his aplastic anemia/bone marrow failure did require him to have many blood transfusions. These blood transfusions are what kept him alive for several years. Blood donations are so incredibly important, so if you haven’t recently, go donate and save a life…or 2 or 3 💪🏻🩸

Last day of school for this kiddo! We have loved watching you learn and grow this year! Hearing about your days, the friends you’ve made, and the things you’ve learned, and we couldn’t be more proud of you! Watch out Kindergarten, here he comes! 💚

💛TWO YEARS TRANSFUSION FREE!!💛

What a truly miraculous journey this has been. From his diagnosis day in February 2020, to this last transfusion in May 2023, to now celebrating TWO years transfusion free… we give God ALL the praise and glory because we know in our hearts and souls that this was His divine healing for Henry.

Henry gets to enjoy life as a normal, healthy little boy, and that right there is the biggest answered prayer. He plays soccer and t-ball, he plays with his friends, he goes to school, and he gets to enjoy his life like any other five year old.

We wouldn’t be here today, though, without the amazing staff and friends we have at St. Jude and every single person who has prayed for us and walked this journey with us ❤️

Our God is an AWESOME God 🤍

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! Henry and Charlotte can tell you all about Holy Week and the true meaning for Easter ⛪️✝️ And they loved seeing what the Easter Bunny brought them and doing the easter egg hunt! ❤️

Five years ago today, our lives were turned completely upside down and we found ourselves living a nightmare. While our journey has not been easy, it has been miraculous. And today, 5 years later, we embrace the normal and are so thankful for every minute of it. I would much rather be juggling soccer schedules, t-ball practices, gymnastics times and more fun things, than doctors appointments and all they entail.

While we still keep a close eye on him and see his doctor every three months, I am proud to say that things are still looking good (even after fighting off two viruses and pneumonia).

I thank God every day for His Grace and Mercy in Henry’s healing. I will tell His story for years to come. Great is Thy Faithfulness 🤍

Henry had this three month follow up with St. Jude today and everything looks good! His hemoglobin is 9.4, platelets 91, and ANC 1800. I asked if she thought his hemoglobin would bounce back again after fighting off the flu and pneumonia in December and she seems confident that it would. It’s still above his target baseline, but I just like to see it closer to 10 where it’s been. She said she would see us back in 3 months, so around spring break, and that she would repeat his annual bone marrow biopsy over the summer. No liver MRI this time since his ferritin is still normal and he hasn’t had a transfusion in 20 months!!!

God continues to get all the praise and glory in our story! Everything I have ever prayed for since all this started has been answered, and we thank God daily, and thank all of you for your prayers and support ❤️

Henry woke up a big F I V E year old today! We are so thankful for every birthday, but this one seems extra special! He’s a “whole hand” ✋🏻 so here’s to spending the day doing all things Henry loves to do 💚

Henry was asked to model in a fashion show put on by Dreams Come True and he had a great time! Dreams Come True granted Henry’s wish and sent us to Disney World last year. They are truly a wonderful organization and we are thankful to be a part of this fundraiser for them!

It was a perfect day for a walk for such a wonderful cause! We love St. Jude and are so thankful for them! 💛
