A wonderful day with amazing people today at the The Working on Wellness Festival - WOW Festival formerly RDO

Always awesome reconnecting with so many people from organizations providing such important services in and around the city. Great to see Soul Space Ottawa, Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa / Bureau des services à la jeunesse , Ashes to Rubies, Ottawa Inner City Health, CAPSA, Somerset West Community Health Centre, The Ottawa Mission, MAX Ottawa, and so many more organizations represented!

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day.

Initiated 24 years ago in Australia, at which time it was about overdoses and awareness. Now, it is more about the toxic drug poisonings which have caused the surge in opioid deaths and the eradication of the stigma surrounding drug use.

There are few who aren't aware of this crisis but there are many who still cast judgement!

Just one week from today, we will be at the Canadian Tribute to Human Rights monument to remember those who have been lost to the toxic drug crisis.

The International Overdose Awareness Day event takes place on Friday, August 29 from 11:30am to 1:00pm.

Come down to Brew Revolution on Sunday and support an amazing local micro-brewery and at the same time, support Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa / Bureau des services à la jeunesse

Come join us this Sunday for an eventful afternoon of Music for the Youth Services Bureau. Even is from 12:30 pm to 5pm as we are raising money for the Youth Mental health fund. See you all there!🍻
