Today, on Resurrection Day, I honor the deeper spiritual meaning behind this sacred moment in Christian tradition.

Whether or not you follow a religion, the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus hold a timeless message for all of us.

His crucifixion can be seen as a symbol of the death of the ego — the parts of us rooted in hate, envy, pride, greed, dishonesty, gluttony, and attachment. These are like dark clouds that block the inner light we all carry.

But here’s the truth: the light has always been there, just like the sun. It doesn’t suddenly appear — it’s simply revealed when the dark clouds fade away. In the same way, when we work to release those ego-based qualities, what rises is our true, loving, divine nature — the being of light within us.

That, to me, is the deeper meaning of resurrection — not only as something that happened to one man, but something that can happen within us all.

May we each find the strength to face our inner shadows and let our true light shine.

If no one sees you as a significant enemy, you're unimportant. If no one talks about you behind your back, it means you're irrelevant. If someone tries to take advantage of you, it means you have value. If someone imitates you, it means you have charisma and influence. If someone tries to put you down, it means you're above them. If they doubt you, it means you're doing things they find impossible. Criticism is, in a way, a form of admiration!
