It’s a beautiful Saturday to go to Dunkin, grab a coffee, and chat with your nurses about how this particular contract negotiation with LVHN Schuylkill affects not only us, but YOU, THE COMMUNUTY as well.

You don’t have to pound the pavement and hold a sign. Come and chat for 5 minutes if that’s all the time you have. If you can’t do that, a simple honk and wave will be welcomed!

Be responsible. If you want to read signs, pull in. We are fighting for safety, and yours is important to us. Eyes on the road. ♥️

And a side note: many have asked exactly why we want the community’s help. This is why we are doing interviews with you tubers, the newspaper, Fox News, hopefully (today) Newswatch 16, and these demonstrations. We are aware that some people don’t care, but many oldo. Whichever side you are choosing, it’s ok. Just be informed and NICE. 🥰

Thank you (MUAH). 😘. I’ll be posting soon about what the heck this whole contract thing is about. I’ve had people message me and ask how our battle affects the community. I think it’s important you know that it does.

In the meantime, I want to make sure you know that our union body (the 95 heads) will be standing with fellow nurses, friends, and community on Saturday. By showing up and standing with us, you are showing the hospital administration that YOU SUPPORT US and that you CARE about a healthy well staffed hospital in this area.

My fellow registered nurses and health care workers are struggling everyday to prove the highest quality care that every person deserves. Short staffing, unsafe working conditions and violence towards workers. These are just a few of struggles that healthcare workers face daily. Please support your healthcare workers, union and non union registered nurses of lvh- schuylkill as we demand for better working conditions, guaranteed security, safe staffing. We are just a small group of “95 heads” as referred to as by the hospital attorney that apparently get paid too much. We are fighting for you, our patients and community. Come and stand with us this Saturday at the corner of 61 by Dunkin’ Donuts in Pottsville to say we are not just “95 heads who are overpaid ” . Join us from 11-1 Saturday June 12th. Stand up for your right for better healthcare threw better staffing.

Negotiations are HARD WORK and they're NOT FUN. Teachers, you have my respect. You fight as a team and the community rallies behind you.

A lot of people ask me if the nurses at the hospital are going to strike. The bottom line is "I don't know." No one wants that, but if it comes down to a compromise of my fellow nurses' safety, an unfair wage increase (or in my case, a loss of hourly wages), and a terrible health care plan that will require my family to find doctors in Allentown for coverage, its a game changer.

These are hard decisions that none of us take lightly. It's why we ask for you to support us AND SHOW that support. Wear red on Wednesday and post it, put a lawn sign in your yard, put a flier in the window of your business, join us when we do informative picketing.

Hats off to my fellow nurses, especially the ones on the negotiating team. They are fighting for ALL OF US and our profession. Stand behind them. OUR nurses staying at YOUR local hospital instead of driving to other hospitals for better health care affects THIS COMMUNITY.
