AAP joined American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists - ACOG, American College of Physicians (ACP), American Osteopathic Association, and American Psychiatric Association in calling for the restoration of data and guidance to the CDC and NIH websites that were removed to comply with a recent executive order. “We urge Congress to ensure that the CDC, NIH and other public health agencies have the resources and ability to provide physicians and the public with the information they need to support the health and wellbeing of all Americans.” Read the full statement here at https://www.aap.org/en/news-room/news-releases/aap/2025/statement-from-leading-physician-groups-on-removal-of-data-and-guidance-from-federal-websites/

As a pediatrician, I want what is best for every kid - not just my own. And as a parent, I want to feel confident about the care of my children's schools. Kristina Wheeler and Jon Shapiro are the school board members that CCS kids need and deserve: informed, compassionate, smart, and supportive of ALL students. These two will take amazing care of CCS if we let them. Get out there and vote! 💚

Summer is such a great time for playdates! Make sure your kids are safe when they go spend time with friends. I like to introduce this conversation with the following script: "She's so excited to come play! Can we swap home safety information so we both have it?" And then I offer mine first :)
