Although I have not had a problem incorporating anti-inflammatory foods into my diet over the past few days, I still find it hard to let go of some inflammatory foods, especially sugar. Sugar has been a very big part of my diet for the last forever it seems. Things like donuts, frappes from McDonalds, certain candies and the list goes on. Another inflammatory food that I like is milk. Although I drink skim milk in my lattes, I know I should probably cut them out as well.

I've been incorporating a lot of these anti-inflammatory foods into my diet and have been eating them regularly: spinach tomatoes blueberries grapes yogurt and espresso in my latte. It's going to take me some time to get used to this new way of eating but I'm doing pretty well so far. For lunch today and yesterday I went to Subway. Yesterday I had another spinach salad with tuna and tomatoes. Today I had a sub on whole wheat with tuna lots of spinach and tomatoes. For dinner last night and for breakfast this morning I had grapes with blueberries and yogurt.

This morning I went to Publix and I bought organic grapes, blueberries and apples and oranges and almonds and yogurt. All of these foods are anti-inflammatory foods. I also bought some juice called Blue Machine it has a lot of blueberries in it. As soon as I got home I had two handfuls of almonds and a glass of Blue Machine juice. I plan to make fruit salad out of the fruits and yogurt.

This morning I weighed in at 297 lb! Although my goal is to reduce the inflammation in my body, I'm sure this new diet will help me lose a little weight as well.

This was my dinner tonight. It contains 3 anti-inflammatory foods: spinach, tomatoes, and tuna. It was delicious. I got it at Subway but I can probably make it at home for a lot less.

Today I had so much pain I knew I had to do something different. The Aleve wasn't working and I knew it was because of my inflammation. So I looked up all the things that can cause inflammation, such as certain foods, and I read that almost everything I'm eating contributes to inflammation. So I looked up all the anti-inflammatory foods. Many of them are foods that I like and will be happy to incorporate into my diet! So I'm going to start eating healthy, anti-inflammatory foods and avoid the foods that cause inflammation. I'm going to start tonight with my dinner and then tomorrow I'm going to go grocery shopping.
