Your client experience begins way before the client signs your contract.

You have probably heard this before but have not received much clarity around when the client experience DOES begin, and how this impacts your business as a whole, so let’s break it down.

Your client experience begins with your first point of contact with the client.

This can be through a conversation, through your Instagram content, or even simply through the first time they inquire about your services.

This means having a very intentional approach to
* how we connect,
* the systems we have in place to respond to inquiries,
* and our overall presence
needs to reflect a cohesive feel that builds trust and ease.

👉Note that this is all BEFORE even working together.

This intention needs to filter through into how you sign on the client which could look like an effortless contract signing process and a clear way to make communication effortless.

From there, you want to ensure you set expectations and deadlines for deliverables in place so that you are working towards the same goals.

The KEY is to clearly communicate your process and how it all works.

Once you finish the project with the client, you want to ensure there is an offboarding process that allows the client to feel like a priority.

You want to set that client up for success to know how to truly utilize the work you did together.

This intention builds client retention and makes your past clients want to refer you to their people because they not only see the value in the work you do, but they see the value in how you do the work and the ease you bring them within their business.

The reason your offers are not working is because you are overcomplicating something that works better when simplified.

The truth is that simplicity always wins.

Especially when creating offers to scale an online coaching or service-based business.

So here are the ONLY 3 offers you’d need to scale with simplicity and ease.

1. Entry offer - Think of this as the cocktail hour. It can be free (like an open bar) or anything less than $99. It gets people acquainted with you as the authority on what you sell while observing how you move through a room.

2. Educational offer- Think of this as the entree, the main course. It’s how you serve people specific bites of your knowledge so they can learn skills from you instead of you doing it for them.

3. Authority offer- Think of this as the desert! This is what everyone knows you for and wants to pay you the big bucks for. When they think of you they think of the skill that flexes here.

Can you have more offers? sure.

Do you need more to scale? no.

Why?

Because each offer leads to the next just like a fancy dinner would.

Every restaurant is NOT good at cooking everything and when they try to it’s honestly confusing. We choose places to eat because we want to eat something specific. I wouldn’t go to a Mexican restaurant if I wanted a Pizza….

Well, the same holds true for what you offer and how you offer it.

More options are not always better, too many options can actually confuse your community and decrease your conversions.

If after both of these things, you still feel undecided about it, try getting an outside perspective from someone you trust.

But whatever you do, try NOT to make rash decisions!🙅🏻‍♀️ Sometimes trying something new in our business can trigger some unconscious fear (which may present as second-guessing).

🚨 Productivity hacks that you NEED to know 🚨⁠

Is this you?⁠

Do you often move things to the next day?⁠

Grow tired and take lots of breaks?⁠

Procrastinate until the last minute, or even worse - you don’t do it at all?⁠

Productivity is truly an art! It takes practice but once you figure out what works best for you and your work, you’ll be unstoppable! ⁠

Here are some of my most favorite tips to push me to where I need to go... especially if I am feeling jet lagged ⁠

✅25 - 5 - 25. (This is called the Pomodoro method) When doing a task, give yourself breaks to put ease on your mind. Work for 25 minutes, break for 5 and repeat. This makes you feel way more at ease to know that a break is coming soon. ⁠

✅Eat the frog. Get those big, priority tasks out of the way first thing. Once you get it done, you will feel accomplished and in flow. The little tasks will come much easier and before you know it - BAM! You’re done. ⁠

✅Reward yourself! After you’ve completed a task that you’ve been dreading, set up a mini reward for yourself. Maybe it’s a yummy snack or talk to someone you love on the phone. Having something to look forward to when you’re done pushes you through it.⁠

✅Write a To-Do list and cross it off! There’s nothing better than crossing off tasks from your list. Seeing those tasks turn into accomplishments does wonders for the brain. ⁠⁠

These are never a one size fits all thing. I can't say that one of these works for me 100% of the time every time.... which is why I collect new hacks anytime I can. ⁠

Are you ready to expand not because you have reached your destination and it's time to move towards the next... ⁠

but because after pushing past your comfort zone that old destination seems so easy that it no longer motivates you... ⁠

OOORRR you realized that the people around kept you small because that was more "acceptable" for them. ⁠

Or Are you just overthinking how to get to the next level in your business and some direction...⁠

This was the moment that I understood the term "dream team".

It's a term thrown around A LOT in this space with descriptions that just don't resonate with me... (probably because the reasons why I build a team is not for the same reasons most business coaches tell you to👀)

So when I took a step back and realized the significance of this moment, it was a real 💡

Here it goes⤵️

❇️The Background:
This is a 4 person team that runs one of my ecom stores. No one is in the same country or timezone. We are 100% remote.

❇️The Moment:
Someone on my team is a new dad with a baby that has been in and out of the hospital. He asked for a mental health day to process some of the decisions they have to make.

Typically this gets dropped privately but this request was dropped straight into our group channel. And I am so happy because he got to feel the team as a collective unit say: we got you. We care about you. Thank you for asking for help.

Before I even saw the message, the team had a Slack Huddle and divided up the tasks not only for today but the rest of the week. Everything on his timeline was reassigned to a different team member.

Now let's circle back lol... THE WEEK. They knew by the time I would see this his mental health day would be nearly over. They also knew, based on how I have treated each of them in different life situations, that a single day off would not suffice.

❇️Why It Matters:
As a leader, it's important for the members of the team to anticipate my response to things. The more they can anticipate a response, the more autonomy they receive to actually do the work.

I know this is important to them because 1) I asked what was important for their success here. and 2) they have shown me this is important time and time again.

I have been on a lot of teams and I have built a lot of teams.

My favorite quality of team members➡️ empathy.

Empathy trickles down from the top and shapes the intangible part of a team that makes it feel DREAMY.

Why everyone makes such a big deal about hitting $5k months⬇️⁠

I was talking with clients inside of the Legacy program and we went into how often we see marketing for "hitting $5k months", and when I told them that I just didn't 'get' the pull for highlighting an income goal as a reason to join... we had a really deep convo unveiling its significance as an entrepreneur. ⁠

SOOOO🥁⁠

Why $5k?! And why does everyone want to get there? Sure, earning that much from your business every month sounds great, but you don't feel driven by the number itself without having a strong "why" behind it. ⁠

Let's break it down ⁠

💸Could signal the time to transition⁠
Earning $5k per month consistently can signal to some people that they have the ability to leave their day job or 9-5. This is a HUGE deal and such an exciting milestone to shoot for.⁠

💸It's working!!⁠
This can show that your people are loving (and paying for!) what you have to offer. Sometimes it takes business owners a little while to find their offer "sweet spot", and this money milestone shows that whatever you're doing is working!⁠

💸Comparable to a 9-5⁠
On average, not in every case, but overall, $5k is approximately what someone might make from their 9-5 job. By hitting this in their own business, it may give someone a sense of security, knowing that they will have enough to support themselves, just on their business alone.⁠

No matter what your ultimate income goal is, hitting $5k is such a huge deal!👏⁠

Your "why" for hitting it may be different than the next person, but your goal will be much more attainable if you DO figure out your own reasons for doing it!🤪⁠

When clients hear the word marketing, they automatically translate that to advertising. ⁠

When really, marketing is the big plan to make your product or service great, and advertising is one of the ways you let people know how great it is. ⁠

I like to break it down like this⤵️⁠

Marketing is like everything you do to make people like and want your product or service. It's like a big plan that includes many things. ⁠Imagine you have a lemonade stand. ⁠

Marketing is how you decide ⁠
🍋What kind of lemonade to sell⁠
🍋What price to set⁠
🍋Where to put your stand⁠
🍋How to make it look nice⁠

➡It's all about understanding what your customers want and how to make them happy.⁠

Advertising, on the other hand, is a part of marketing. ⁠
👋It's like telling people about your lemonade stand ⁠
🌈It's like making a colorful sign that says, "Delicious Lemonade!"⁠
👯‍♀️or telling your friends to spread the word⁠

➡You want to get the word out to as many people as possible so they know about your lemonade and come to buy some.⁠

This is everyone's favorite part haha ⁠

They're headed into the BOFU (Bottom of funnel)⁠ ⁠

This is the all-important decision phase.⁠

The part of the funnel where buying comes in.💸⁠

This is where all of those amazingly-written sales pages will live.📝⁠

The focus here is on conversion.💡⁠

On sealing the deal!💜⁠

If TOFU is the meeting, and MOFU is dating, then BOFU is the marriage!💍⁠

By now, you know your lead, and they know you and like you. It's all about making that proposal now, and offering them what they need and want.⁠

If you did the work needed in the previous two funnel phases, your leads should be prepped and ready to make their decision. You have built TRUST. They trust your ability and credibility to fulfill your promises. ⁠

This is the place where trust converts customers into clients.⁠

If you were structuring your offers in the form of a funnel, what would go in the MOFU? ⁠

This is where your 1 to many style containers like a membership, course, or group program live.⁠

When you do this correctly about 50% of income is generated from this level of your offers. ⁠

Why is it such a high proportion? ⁠
Because it's scalable. ⁠

The amount of people inside these offers doesn’t matter when considering your time needed to help bring the transformation to life. ⁠

If you shifted your business to having 50% of your income come from the middle of the funnel how could that transform your business?⁠

So, you've got a new Instagram follower hanging out at the top of your funnel (TOFU). How do we move them through the funnel?⁠

By building trust.💪⁠But before you trust someone you have to like them. The like factor is what you focus on in the middle.⁠

✨We want to give that lead the best insight to who we are and what we are about. ⁠

✨We don’t need or desire everyone to like us. ⁠

✨We need to be intentional about showing them our authentic selves so they can make that decision on their own.⁠

How does that happen?⁠
⬇️⁠

By educating and engaging with your audience. ⁠

Don’t overcomplicate it. ⁠

Let it be that easy.⁠

If this is something that you find stressful or overwhelming then take a side step and fine-tune your brand voice and energy because doing this will help this part of the funnel feel a lot more natural.
