It's beginning to feel a lot like the holidays!

The Spoiler Spirit Card Company is now open for card orders.
Our holiday packs will feature 5 cards - a few designs from last year and a few new designs. Each card includes a printed message.

This year we will only be selling the variety packs. We will not be able to accommodate special orders.
Holiday variety packs are $5.00 and all proceeds will continue to benefit local student needs.
We will be accepting orders now until December 10th. We hope to have all orders completed by December 17th.

Use this link to place your order! https://forms.gle/hsNjvksUuzv3Trsq6

We appreciate your support and are excited to fill orders!

Hello ATP supporters! We are hoping to do some decorating around Grafton this holiday season to spread some Christmas cheer. We are looking for donations of holiday decor and/or Christmas decorations. If you have any that are collecting dust or things you have grown tired of, please think of donating them to the Adult Transition Program!
We can arrange to pick them up or they can be dropped of at Grafton High School. We thank you in advance!!
We are looking forward to the holiday season!

The ATP started our week with a Fun Monday at Nelson's Pumpkin Patch. We invited and were joined by two other GHS classes.
Our first fun surprise was a ride on the Grafton Spoilers coach bus! Thanks, Mark Buck!
Then, we bounced along on a hayride, wound our way through the corn maze, enjoyed some cool farm animals, tossed a few hoops, lunched on sack lunches provided by the great kitchen staff at GHS, read our way through Spookley's story, and picked pumpkins on our way out. It was a beautiful day for a field trip!

We've been meaning to show off some more of our skill-building, but we keep forgetting to take pictures... fortunately, we always have our cameras out on Fun Fridays. Here are a few pics of the FUN we've been having recently!

Pembina Gorge, Grafton Corn Maze, Oxbow Orchards, Halloween decorating, and the Fun Zone at the Pizza Ranch in Grand Forks!

✅ Skill Spotlight ✅
Last year, we highlighted our wonderful job sites (which we will continue to do). This year, we will also post about the skills we learn in the Adult Transition Program!
First up is our Bill Pay System.
The students earn "money" for their job sites and various in-school tasks. Rent (classroom use) and other bills (utility = sewer and garbage) are paid and what is leftover is able to be used in the ATP Store some Fridays, for things like snacks, DVDs, drinks, etc. This gives meaning to the jobs and tasks they do and creates another added layer of accountability.
So far all of them have enjoyed their first store visit and have provided some suggestions on what they would like the opportunity to purchase in the future.

We are back!
Our first day back was September 7th. Since then we have been super busy getting back into the swing of things... a new group of students, a new schedule, and 5 days a week of Spoiler Blend Coffee!
We have enjoyed getting to know our new students and working with new staff.
Tomorrow will be our first "out-of-school" Fun Friday! We budgeted a plan for a meal at Thompson's Cafe in Cavalier and will head to the Pembina Gorge for some trail hiking and scenic views.
Last year we missed the fall colors by a week, so now our fingers are crossed that we aren't too early!
Thank you all for following our program and our adventures! We are looking forward to a great year of the Adult Transition Program!

This was fun! Before school let out for the year, we were asked to help gift wrap graduation gifts for a couple of awesome graduates.
They had quite a few gifts to give and were looking for a fun way to wrap them. The Spoiler Spirit Card Company was happy to help! Our work included designing the gift wrap, rolling towels, assembling the labels, and delivering the order as they were completed.
Thank you Laurie, Carlee, and Cassie Sieben for thinking of us!

Well... That's a wrap on our 2020-2021 year of the Adult Transition Program!
We served the Century Primary Field Day this morning from the football concessions stand. It was cold so the adults appreciated the hot drinks while some of the students still enjoyed frozen lemonades despite the weather. It was fun to watch the students enjoy the outside activities!
Our students enjoyed the High School cookout served by the teachers for lunch.
We ended our time together with the 2021 ATP Graduation Celebration!
We will miss those not returning and are looking forward to adding more programs for those coming back!
Thank you for following our Adult Transition Program journey this year. We had lots of fun!

Last Fun Friday of the year!
We started off with our last day of Spoiler Blend Coffee for the students. Staff will have 2 more Mondays and next Friday we will be available at the Century Primary Field Day in the football concessions stand.
Next we shared what we've been up to with the Region IV Secondary Transition Community of Practice team virtually. The guys shared their favorite part of ATP and told them about their favorite jobsites. They did a great job!
Then we headed to Grand Forks for lunch and shopping. The group voted for Culvers for lunch and planned ahead their meals and spending money. We explored Wal-mart and almost everyone found a new game at GameStop.
It was a great day! If you have an idea for future Fun Fridays, please leave a comment below! We'd love to hear from you!

Even though, their Senior years are behind them, the Adult Transition Program helped with Senior Spring clean-up this morning!
While the seniors scoured the city of Grafton, we were charged with sprucing up the school grounds, track, football field, and ball diamonds. And we have the dirty feet to prove it!
These guys were excited for the day and the last Early Out of the school year!

💥Jobsite Spotlight💥
Last, but not least, we would like to give a shout-out to La Cantina in Grafton.
In addition to providing work experience to our Adult Transition Program students, our job coaches provide work opportunities to seniors enrolled at the Grafton High School, as well.
La Cantina has been our primary location for the seniors this year.
Our students perform the opening duties of the restaurant. They sweep, mop, and vacuum the customer areas of the restaurant. They also clean the bathrooms and get the tables ready for customers.
This has been a great preview for those students who will soon be joining us in the program.
Thank you, La Cantina of Grafton, for helping our younger students prepare for their future!
