It’s summer solstice - 21.06.22 ☀️

Summer & summer practice is my favourite time of the year. As we officially move into the season of summer and our summer practice - reaching full peak energy potential.

In our practice, we move with the element of fire, building heat up within our bodies & moving with a lot of heart openers.

You can join me for summer flow at PureGym Stirling on a Wednesday at 8:15pm-9pm and Sunday 9am-10am where we will focus on Anahata Chakra, opening our hearts, building our core strength, building internal heat (agni) which in turn burns impurities and increases energy.

The meridians that we want to focus on travel down our arms. In our practice, we will focus on releasing tension from the upper body, strengthening the arms and challenging the depth of our asanas in connection to breath.

Hip opening asana’s will always be a favourite of mine. Would you like some tops for your low lunge?

- knee should be above ankle.
- hips should be square, what I mean by this is think about straightening your hips up so they both face forward.
- each time you get exhale, allow your hips to sink that little bit lower.
- take your Drishti (focus point) overhead in between your hands.
- hold & relax.
