I desire that I possessed the knowledge I now hold, with a focus on mindset, understanding the nervous system and polyvagal theory, and recognizing the profound impact of feeling secure and maintaining a regulated nervous system. Embracing creative flow states and acknowledging and befriending my shadows has been crucial.
During my decade-plus career as a musical theater performer, I achieved some success, working at impressive venues and honing various creative skills. I encountered incredible individuals and fulfilled a childhood dream of moving to New York to become an actor. It was a thrilling experience filled with learning opportunities, but it was also marked by significant anxiety.
At times, the anxiety became so overwhelming that it hindered my ability to deliver my best work. I found myself trapped in my thoughts, comparing myself to others, and stressing about future opportunities. This anxiety negatively impacted both my physical and mental well-being and, most importantly, prevented me from savoring and celebrating my accomplishments.
Hence, The Performer's Heart was born. It addresses the struggles of stage fright, paranoia, and performance anxiety. I understand the emotional turmoil of attending auditions while worrying about judgments from those behind the table and fellow performers. It may sound trivial, but it was a genuine challenge for me.
If you or performers you know are grappling with similar challenges, I invite you to engage in a conversation. I am offering five full scholarships for The Performer's Heart, asking only for your time, sincerity, and feedback. Together, we can overcome performance anxiety and unlock your true potential. Direct message me the word FLOW to initiate this transformative journey.
