Let’s talk, Training with intent vs. Training with intensity
Training with intensity is great for athletes who are training to maximize muscle growth, increase cardiovascular fitness and over all strength.
I used to push myself every time I was in the gym to the point where I had no energy afterwards. This method was not sustainable for me so I learned to train with intent instead.
Training with intent allowed me to slow down and focus more on what I wanted my outcome to look like. It usually involves a slower pace with lighter weights, great for workouts that are during post injury (rehabilitation), luteal phase or menstruation, lower energy in generally, and/or just getting back into the gym.
It’s important to differentiate the two, they both have their importance and can both support you to reaching your goals in their own ways.
