🌸Empowerment🌸

Empowerment is more than simply feeling powerful or confident. True empowerment is pure validation, a state of being in which we recognize and celebrate our own wild potential.

Empowerment is the process of encouraging yourself or an individual to think, behave, manage, take action and make decisions toward their life goals. Being empowered means feeling in control of your own environment and knowing you are trusted to make decisions about your life.

🌸Your story could empower someone today🌸

I have in the past felt trapped with feeling I had no way out of some bad situations and I do remember the feeling when I finally realised I had the strength to change and not let FEAR rule my life.. 💋

We all have our story to tell, sharing with others, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, connects you to others in a way being silent or pretending your life is perfect never will.. Your story can be anything from:
🌸leaving a bad relationship
🌸dealing with abuse
🌸overcoming addiction
🌸overcoming jealousy or insecurity
🌸changing your life by taking control
🌸changing career
🌸dealing with anxiety or depression
Telling your story helps you make sense of your life — why certain events happened the way they did. You begin to examine what has happened to and through you. You begin to make sense of who you are.
🌸you are stronger than you think.. 💋

Taking care of yourself is the pathway to fulfillment and to high performance in work and in life. And, just as importantly, it's a gift to others. When your needs are met and you feel good about yourself, it's easier to elevate the needs of other people in front of your own.
🌸Prioritise Your Needs -Make a List.
🌸Learn to say No!
🌸Ask for Help.
🌸Get to know yourself - what are your thoughts, your values, your passions.
🌸STOP Putting yourself down.
🌸Visualise the Future you want.

Kindness has many benefits including increased happiness and a healthy heart. It slows down the aging process and improves relationships and connections, which indirectly boosts your health.

Kindness releases feel-good hormones.

Acts of kindness can be anything as simple as:

🌸 Giving someone a compliment
🌸 Saying hi to strangers
🌸 Paying someone’s expired car parking
(Someone has actually done this for me, and I was overwhelmed at at someone’s kindness)
🌸 Slowing down in the car to let someone in
🌸 Being kind to strangers dealing with kids having tantrums in public
🌸 Leaving positive and encouraging comments on people posts

Being kind is not a weakness.

Being kind often requires courage and strength, as it involves the willingness to celebrate and give attention to someone else.

❤️

🌸Confidence🌸

Confidence means feeling sure of yourself and your abilities — not in an arrogant way, but in a realistic, secure way. Confidence isn't about feeling superior to others. It's a quiet inner knowledge that you're capable.

🌈Believe in yourself
☀️Visualise yourself as you want to be
🌈Make eye contact
☀️Say hi to a stranger
🌈Trust yourself
☀️Say kind things to yourself

Insecurity
We all feel this at some stage and if your a sensitive person you can often feel this more than most:
🌸 Insecurity can stem from trauma, from loosing a job, relationship problems, health problems or feeling general unease or nervous or by perceiving yourself to be vulnerable or inferior in some way, or a sense of vulnerability or instability which threatens your self-image or ego.
How to Stop Being Insecure and Build Self-Esteem
1. Affirm your value. YOUR AMAZING
2. Prioritize your needs. PUT YOU FIRST
3. Don’t compare. YOUR UNIQUE
4. Challenge your thoughts. SAY I CAN
5. Keep good company. POSITIVE VIBES
6. Step away. SAY NO
7. Reflect on the good. GRATITUDE
8. Make time for joy. DANCE
🌸❤️🌸Remember we all feel insecure at some point so be kind to yourself 🌸❤️🌸

❤️🌸❤️Is anxiety and fear about the future or past consuming you?
It’s almost impossible to believe that we are now linked to every human being on this planet in living with the new fear of this pandemic. It’s Something we can’t control, we can’t really plan around and we can’t know the impact or when we can return to normality.. BUT we can control ourselves and our own reactions by just allowing ourselves to just deal with today.
Below are some helpful ideas if you are struggling today and remember we are all in this together.. Be KIND and offer LOVE to yourself first ❤️🌸❤️

1. Take time out
It's impossible to think clearly when you're flooded with fear or anxiety. The first thing to do is take time out so you can physically calm down.
Distract yourself from the worry for 15 minute walk, making a cup of tea or having a bath.
2. Breathe
If you start to get a faster heartbeat or sweating palms, the best thing is not to fight it.
Stay where you are and simply feel the panic without trying to distract yourself. Place the palm of your hand on your stomach and breathe slowly and deeply.
The goal is to help the mind get used to coping with it.
3. I’ll handle it
Tell yourself whatever the fear or the mountain that you will handle it! Even if you don’t believe it just yet!
4. Look at the evidence
It sometimes helps to challenge fearful thoughts. Ask yourself what you would say to a friend who had a similar fear.
5. Visualise a happy place
Take a moment to close your eyes and imagine a place of safety and calm.
6. Talk about it
Sharing fears takes away a lot of their scariness. If you struggle talking, text or write/keep a journal of your feelings.
7. Go back to basics
Simple, everyday things like a good night's sleep, a wholesome meal and a walk are often the best cures for anxiety.
8. Reward yourself
Finally, give yourself a treat. Buy yourself those flowers or a nice candle or relax in a warm bubbly bath.

Hiding your feelings has a high cost. studies have found that when we avoid our emotions, we're actually making them stronger — this can create serious implications for your body and mind. Bottling up emotions can make people more aggressive.
Where do we start:
🧡start a daily journal and just let your feelings flow, you might be surprised what actually comes out.
🧡if someone hurts you, try and explain to them how you feel without starting with blame.
🧡consider talking to a counsellor, sometimes we can open up more with a complete stranger.
🧡focusing on the present and looking for the positives in your life.
🧡forgive yourself and others.. this is not easy but is absolutely possible.
🧡stopping the victim mentality (I say this gently) but it can keep us very stuck.

🧡Boundaries show where one thing ends and another begins. Boundaries in a relationship are kind of like this; they help each person figure out where one person ends and the other begins. In short, boundaries help you define what you are comfortable with and how you would like to be treated by others. They apply to any kind of relationship you have – whether with a friend, family member, partner or anyone else in your life.
🧡If Boundaries are constantly crossed with little or no concern to your feelings then you have the right to walk away and put yourself first.
🧡Always listen to your gut, it’s your bodies way of telling you what does/doesn’t feel right.. you are strong and worth respect.

Truths about Fear
1. The fear will never go away as long as I continue to grow.
2. The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is go out... and do it!
3. The only way to feel better about myself is to go out... and do it!
4. Not only am I going to experience fear whenever I am on unfamiliar territory, but so is everyone else.
5. Pushing through fear is less frightening than living with the underlying fear that comes from feeling helpless..

Tell yourself: I’ll Handle It!

Below a little about my journey:

Turn Fear to Freedom
If anyone would like to follow my journey as I’m writing my book then please add me .
Those that know me know I’ve been writing a book/diary since March last year (from the start of the lockdown).
This book has been my dream for many years.
My journey started just over 2 years ago when the doctor diagnosed me as clinically depressed. Since then I feel I’ve been on a journey of self discovery. With highs and lows and everything in between I feel I’ve learnt some valuable life changing tools that have helped me into recovery. I’m not claiming I’ve got the key to everyone’s answer as we are all so unique and amazing that each of us will need our own way of understanding ourselves to find the tools to be the best work for us.
From guilt, failures, regrets, damage done to us, failed relationships or lost jobs, I’m hoping to be as real as possible to show that ultimately all of these things can be linked to Fear. Fear of change, Fear we won’t be liked or accepted or ultimately loved. Fear we are not good enough, Fear of failure, Fear of being left, Fear of loosing our family or Fear of rejection.
The tools I’ve found (and that I’m constantly using to help me personally) I’d love to share with you as ultimately my passion is helping others.
This is a journey, I’m not perfect I’m not there yet! But I’d love you to join with me
On this journey.
I’d like to say thank-you to all the 9 ladies that have been part of my book and you have all inspired me in some way. You will get to read their stories of how amazing we actually all are in my book.
From feelings of su***de to life changing careers hopefully you will see we are on this journey called life and it’s not the failing that’s defines us but how we rise and overcome.
If your struggling now contact me through this link, not because I have all the answers but because I’ll just listen.
