Most importantly, we celebrate all nursing staff of HealthBridge Children’s Hospital for the daily significant contributions they make on behalf of our pediatric patients! Santa came to visit the kids at HealthBridge Children’s Hospital in Orange, Ca., this week. He is shown here bringing cheer to Adam S., who came to our facility three weeks ago. When Adam arrived, he was non verbal and on a vent and a trach. He is now talking and has been weaned from the vent! Our wishes to Santa really can come true!!

At HealthBridge Children’s Hospital in Orange, Ca., staff celebrated the holiday this week with each other over a feast served by employees for other staff members. HealthBridge is thankful for its many dedicated team members that serve our patients and their families with caring hands and hearts.

Paris Donohoe, a junior at Chapman University and Philips University Legacy Scholar, dressed as Cinderella, sings Disney songs to children at HealthBridge Children’s Hospital (HBOC) on September 20. The effort (Paris’ third visit to HBOC) was a volunteer assignment as part of a scholarship for Philips University Legacy Foundation. As part of the Foundation’s scholarship and leadership development program, students participate in volunteer leadership projects (VLPs), working with local communities to make a positive impact in a critical area of need.

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital was a participating provider and provided 542 helmets and volunteers to pass out the helmets at the CalOptima Health Back-to-School event on Saturday, August 26 at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church in Anaheim.

CalOptima hosted the event to celebrate and promote community health and wellness, bringing together 30 community-based organizations to provide helpful resources for basic needs, mental health, early childhood education and much more. CalOptima Health provides publicly funded health care coverage for low-income children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities in Orange County, California.

Initially treated by the stellar team at Orange County Children's Hospital, she came to our facility in March and left HealthBridge Children's Hospital in May 2023.

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital celebrated National Hospital Week 2023 (May 7-13) and honored staff and caregivers. The American Hospital Association (AHC) was founded in 1898 and provides education for health care leaders and is a source of information on health care issues and trends. National Hospital Week was established to recognize health care workers and the innovative ways they are supporting and connected to their community.

This month, kids and families enjoyed a day of mini horse therapy provided by local Orange County trainer Claudia Bradford. Increasingly, miniature horses are used as therapy animals to help those coping with tragedies or fighting illness. In addition, Orange County Guide dogs were present to provide comfort to pediatric patients.
