The second step is knowing you want help and that there are things you do not know. You are stuck in something you do not understand.

As empaths and codependents, we are the first ones to ignore the red flags and only look for the good. We want to help and fix and accept. But this is the reason we miss the red flags.

I am guilty of this, too, and I get it! Especially in today’s world, where we accept people and their self-expression. Uniqueness. Rights. Don’t ask, don’t tell system.
NO. STOP. LOOK FOR THE RED FLAGS! Ya, RIGHT!
Although this is possible, you will need to learn how to make the changes, and we cannot be expected to know how, or else we would have done it already.
You need to learn about inner child healing, codependency, and how you are probably an Empath who feels a lot!

We are not born a narcissist. They are developed in early childhood and can not be cured of the personality disorder.
So while this is a place for support for the victim and a venting place for the victim and survivors. I want to bring attention to the fact that a person with narcissistic personality disorder was once a sweet baby and a loving child. It was how they were raised early on that changed them. Their little souls were adapted to the environment that they were dealt.
We all have pasts. Never judge!

People who go through severe emotional abuse on this level cannot see it coming and question if it is real while it is happening to them. They are in a fog and traumatized. They are literally using every bit of strength in their nervous system to stay alive, and the last thing they need to hear is just leave, change jobs, he’s a jerk, move on, omg, are you still stuck on her? ETC.

Until you have lived it, play it safe, be there for us, and say you are proud of us. Because things are happening that you have NO clue about.
