I don’t want to bounce back.

I want to deep dive.
Into healing. Into knowing myself again. Into the real transformation of motherhood.

I want to plant my feet.
In this season — not rush past it.
To feel the ground beneath me instead of chasing a version of me that no longer exists.

I want to be present.
With my baby.
With my body.
With myself.

Let’s stop glorifying “getting back” to something.
You didn’t go anywhere — you evolved.
This isn’t about bouncing. This is about becoming.

💛 You don’t have to bounce back. You get to bloom forward — in your own time, in your own way.

Birth Trauma doesn’t look the same for everyone. For me-it was quiet.

It was Covid times and I had just brought the most beautiful baby girl to my chest after a very long induction.

I was so focused on her and making sure she was okay, still numb from my epidural-I didn’t even notice the OB and my midwife were still at my bottom half quickly moving around the room asking nurses to get supplies.

When I asked if everything was okay (as I sensed it wasn’t), they responded with “You’re bleeding a little bit more than we would like but we are working on it.”

I was hemorrhaging.
And had to be emergently packed with a small soccer ball amount of gauze to stop the bleeding.

The epidural wore off and the pain was worse than anything I experienced during the birth itself and I was offered TYLENOL. Tylenol.

I had to beg for more pain relief before the OB on call that night finally put in an order for Oxy.

I couldn’t sit for weeks. On anything.
I brought a pillow to every restaurant for months just on the off chance the seating wasn’t soft enough.

My second birth is my redemption experience and one I will treasure for the rest of my life. And I credit the lessons I learned from my first birth experience and the trauma I have processed for making me more informed and empowered, as a mother and healthcare advocate.

✨ Just got certified as a Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C)! ✨

As an occupational therapist working with moms and babies in the NICU, this certification deepens my ability to support the emotional + mental health needs of families navigating some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Perinatal mental health is neonatal health — and with this added lens, I’m even more equipped to hold space, advocate, and create trauma-informed, family-centered care plans that truly honor the parent-infant dyad. 💛

NICU care isn’t just about survival. It’s about connection, regulation, bonding, and long-term outcomes — and mental health is at the heart of it all.🧠👶🏽
