Starting Monday off right with an early strength session 💪🏻

Switched up my routine a little bit after watching some videos over the past week or so from

Decided to go with a 5-day FULL BODY plan...

Yes.. you did read that correctly. 😜

I am guilty of thinking that full body can only be done 2-3 days per week.. that is until I watched Jeff’s video and learned some of the concepts of the 5 day plan.

I’ve been trying to find an effective way to increase my training volume without sacrificing too much time 🕰

It’s funny how things seem to come to you when you need them the most... 🙌🏻 ☀️

Between my full-time job teaching, creating content with to try and build and maintaining all other responsibilities, I was tapped out and needed a break. 😕

Doubt kicked in... 😔
🔺Are we qualified enough?
🔺Who’s even listening to us?
🔺I should just stick to teaching.

I unplugged for a few days, enjoyed some much needed family time and adventures in nature, and didn’t think about work.

And then someone I don’t speak to very often told me how much they were learning and enjoying our content 😮😄

Talk about some much needed confidence 😆

The lesson? You never know who you’re actually impacting, so even on the dark days when things aren’t going your way, always move forward. 😤

🔺only 1 piece of cake

The enjoyable experience of a birthday celebration soon becomes an anxiety-inducing nightmare 😱

I don’t do that anymore. No one should. 🤷🏻‍♂️ LIVE YOUR LIFE

Enjoy the moment, the people, and the food 😋

I ate what I wanted for dinner 🍔

And I had ice cream cake.. lots of it 😂😋 🎂🍦

Did I weigh more today? A little bit.

Was it all fat? Nope.

Did it ruin me completely? Nope.

Will I lose the extra weight over the next couple days? Yup.

I got to live stress free and enjoy my time, knowing that this one meal wouldn’t mean much since I’m consistently eating according to plan 👌🏻

Enjoy your moments folks. You only get so many 🙂

LEARN TO LOVE THE PROCESS‼️

When I was 275 pounds and struggling to lose weight, it was because I only had the end goal in mind ❌

Visualizing your goal isn’t a bad thing... but if you’re solely focused on that and don’t truly enjoy the process, then you’re eventually going to falter 😕

Why? Because life is HARD. There are so many ups and downs, and if you don’t really believe in yourself... believe in your why... and if you don’t ENJOY the struggle of getting better each and every day, then you’ll give up.

Your goal alone is not enough to get you there.

When you learn to love the process, you can achieve anything 🏆💪🏻👍🏻

This is one of my favorite quotes right here ☝🏼

It helps me stay grounded and continue to monitor and adjust my goals as I grow.

These pictures represent times where I’m chasing different goals.

The left: prepping to run my first ever marathon. 🏃🏼‍♂️

The right: focused on strength and losing body fat. 💪🏻

I completed my marathon in February ✅ but now my goals are shifting.

I lost muscle mass and gained body fat during training... so now it’s time to get back to the weights AND continue to work on my running progression.

Once you climb a mountain, you need to find another one or else you become the wolf at the top.

Being at the top is nice, but if you don’t stay hungry and chase something else, someone WILL pass you by. 😤

The old me would’ve let this ruin the entire day 😕

I had an unhealthy relationship with food and an even worse mindset: all or nothing.

All this did was cause more stress and anxiety around my health and eating. 😫

Now, I know how to handle these situations much better and realize that you don’t have to be perfect. You just need to be consistent the majority of the time. 👌🏻

So when my little one wants 🍩 on Saturday morning, we can enjoy them as a family... stress free 🙌🏻

Find what is sustainable and enjoy your life 😁
