My Personal Story

As a type 1 diabetic, I have been dealing with health issues, diets, insulin resistance and weight challenges for over 21 years. I especially struggled during my teen years and early twenties.

A few years ago, after seeing yet another dietician advising me to eat carrots for breakfast, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I did a complete evaluation of my habits, daily routine and time constraints and worked out a plan that I would be able to stick with and suited my individual lifestyle. Now, 14kg lighter, I have improved control over my blood sugar and have more energy, vitality and confidence.

I did weight management coaching for Curves for a while, but feel that I now have more time available and would love to reach more individuals with the aim of assisting them in their health journey.
