There’s no growth in the comfort zone, and there’s no comfort in the growth zone. If you’re uncomfortable, embrace it, and embrace the the growth that will inevitably come from it. The only way to level up is to step into the ring. 🥊

Morning flex work and a salute 🫡 to my hometown, nation. 😃
Life has been insanely busy and there’s very little margin for reflection, self-care and down time. These quiet mornings are some of my favorite times of the day. 🌅
Feeling grateful for the path I’m on right now and the amazing people in my life who affirm me, lift me up, and pray for me! Life is good. 😊

This Teddy Roosevelt quote speaks to my soul. We often spend so much time worried about, listening to, or BEING critics that we waste precious time that could be spent on actually growing and getting better.
I’d rather come to the end of my life beat up from being in the arena than perfectly polished from having done nothing but sit on the sidelines.
Fear is a powerful thing, but so is courage. So is faith. Only those who risk failure will ever know how far they can go, so take the risks, shut out the noise, suit up, and get in there. The world needs what you have to offer.

The beautiful thing about growing is realizing things don’t always stay the same, and that’s ok. There is purpose to our pain if we allow ourselves to be guided through it and learn from it. Sometimes, pain is the arrow that propels is forward to an entirely different life. Fight through it, don’t run from it. This is how we .

Ever have a Facebook memory come up that stops you in your tracks? I very much remember taking the picture on the right. It was 2015, I was at the AC/DC concert, and it was an absolutely amazing night. Best concert I’ve ever seen. I was 37. Inside though, I was miserable. A shell of the real me. As much fun as I had at that concert, I’m sad for the woman I was 7 years ago. It is very true that sometimes depression wears a smile, and that was definitely me at the time.
And then… the woman on the left. 7 years later. There’s not enough room to write about the insane amount of self-work I had to do to get here. I had to learn and unlearn a lot of things. I had so much help and support, but much the journey of self-reflection and growth I’ve walked had to be done alone. Me vs. Me.
If I could give my old self advice, I’d say this: Don’t run from the pain. Deal with it. Own the role you played in it. Learn from it. Grow from it. KNOW that there’s another side, and that side is absolutely beautiful. It’s worth the struggle to get there, so keep fighting.
This is it. 44. Another year around the sun and only getting better, stronger, wiser, happier, and crazy grateful for the life I continue to be blessed with every single day. ❤️ Cheers! 🍾

Same f***y pack, different waistline 😉. A lot of things are said about life after 40. That you’re “over the hill,” 👵🏻 so you might as well just settle in for the slump that happens in the 2nd half of your life. If you’re not careful, you might start believing it. 🤔
I’m here to tell ya, there are definitely barriers to finding fitness in this stage of life, but that only means you’ll have to dig a little deeper to get where you want to go. 💪🏻🏃🏼‍♀️
To this point, there has been 0️⃣ down side to this journey. I have more energy, I sleep better, I’m able to manage my stress levels more efficiently, my skin is clearer, my anxiety is all but gone, I move easier, I recover from illness quicker, my blood sugar is down, my cholesterol is back in the normal range, I no longer suffer from chronic inflammation, and the list just keeps growing. 🗒️
Your health is an investment, not an expense. 💵 I could spend money on a gym membership, or I could spend it on heart surgery, diabetes medication, etc. Either way, there is a cost for the choices we make.
All I know is… the rest of my life is gonna be the BEST of my life. Invest wisely, friends. In every area of your life. Quality matters.

As the saying goes, “The expert has failed more times than the beginner ever tried.”
If you’re struggling, you’re growing. If it’s difficult, it’s making you better. If you want to come out on the other side, the only out is THROUGH.
Resist the urge to run from difficult experiences. Stop. Breathe. Ask yourself what lesson this experience is teaching you. Be willing to change your mind. Be willing to be wrong. Be willing to be accountable. Fight. Grow. Rise. 💪🏻

In the crazy world of fitness, this is what we do! And it works! In fact, it’s the single biggest piece of advice I give when I’m asked how to get where you want to be.
Never underestimate the power of staying the course! Dig in. Be stubborn. Do not quit on yourself. You are worth the work! 💪🏻🔥

The last 24 hours have been a blur of blessings and excitement. I could have never predicted when I took a coaching job at Orangetheory how it would change my life for the better in so many ways.
Whether it’s big events like our outdoor workout with the Crew, or small, intimate moments like sending off to her surgery with energy drink shots at 5am, the positive impact this experience has had on my life continues to blow my mind.
Thank you for an incredible few months, and cheers to the best fit fam a girl could ever ask for! Let’s keep doing this for years and years!

Although I am a coach, it’s OTHER coaches who continue to push me and inspire me to be better. , you are in a league of your own and without you I’d still be in my basement scared to death to grow. , your gentle spirit and calm guidance continue to make going to work so much less intimidating. Thank you for your support and encouragement always! Every person in this picture is a blessing in my life and I cannot thank you all enough for making me part of the team. Happy , all!

Do you journal? Many of us don’t, but it’s a great way to keep things in perspective when life is a constant blur. Being mindful of our blessings and putting them on paper is a great way to practice self-care. Even writing down two things you are grateful for each day can start the day out on a positive note. So, grab a notebook, throw it in your bag, and start writing!
Happy Monday, all!

“Who you become in the process is more important than the dream.” 🌟
We often become so attracted to the results we want that we forget all of the growth that needs to happen along the way.
My fitness journey has taught me more about who I am on the inside than any other life experience I’ve had to this point. It’s made me tenacious, it’s made me strong, and it’s made me believe in myself in a way I never have before.
I know you want to get “there,” whatever that means for you. Just don’t rush the process. Don’t skip the stuff that will grow you and make you better. Appreciate the struggle, because without it there can be no growth. If you try to get to the end too quickly, you won’t have gained the skills necessary to sustain what you’ve attained, and it will all be for nothing.
This journey isn’t for the weak, which is why so many fall away. Be stubborn. Shut out the noise. Do the work. 💪🏻
