At An Evening with Bridges, our keynote speaker Carolyn Presnell, Deputy Director of WELD, stopped the room with these words.

Because that’s the heart of it, isn’t it?

Recovery is so often framed as a personal battle. Something you win or lose on your own. But the research, the stories, and the lives we see transformed at Bridges tell a different truth.
It’s people. It’s community. It’s someone showing up when you don’t believe you’re worth showing up for.

That’s what Bridges builds.

Thank you, Carolyn Presnell, for sharing your story and your voice with us. 💙

None of this happens without our Champions of Recovery. 🏆

To our Impact Partners, The Shop Car Club & Matt Bell, Trouvés Health Care Corporation, LightSmiths, and the Harris Family Foundation. Thank you for believing that young people are worth showing up for.

To our one-of-a-kind event producer Ellen Peterson, the magic behind the magic. Thank you!

To our powerhouse MC and auctioneer Colin McArthur, you brought the energy and kept it all night long.

And to Srilata Remala & Charles Dorner, Tricia Davis & Ben Haggerty, Michelle & Tyler Weaver, and Keri & George Rhodes, your belief in young people is changing lives. Full stop.

We are so grateful. 💙

More than 90% of adults with a substance use disorder started using as teenagers.

The window to intervene is narrow. And most programs, when teens leave them, see relapse rates between 50 and 90%.

Alternative Peer Groups have achieved recovery rates above 85%, compared to a national average of around 30%.

That gap is not an accident.

Four days a week, year-round, including summers and holiday breaks, our peer counselors meet teens where they are. Because addiction doesn’t take breaks. And neither do we.

The same social current that can carry kids under? We use it to carry them out. 💙

Last Friday, we gathered at The Shop Club for ‘An Evening with Bridges’ and our community showed up in a big way. 💙

From powerful words by King County Executive Girmay Zahilay, to a moving keynote from Carolyn Presnell of Weld Seattle, every moment reminded us why this work matters.

Youth recovery isn’t just possible. It’s happening. And you’re making it real.

More highlights coming all week. Stay tuned. ✨

Serving with purpose at Bread of Life Mission in Seattle today.

Our youth showed up ready to work — preparing meals, supporting community members, and learning that recovery is about giving back as much as it is about growing forward.

Proud of this crew. 💛

A full room at Family Group night. 💛

Parents showing up — for their teens and for each other. 🤝✨

And the connection doesn’t stop there.

Our moms spent an afternoon at Paint the Town creating together 🎨🖌️, and our dads gathered for a printmaking workshop 🖨️🎞️ — building community in different ways, outside of group.

Healing families takes intention. 💬💛
And no one here has to do it alone.

Big things are happening at Bridges ✨

With this season of growth has come some exciting changes — including welcoming new Peer Counselors to our team.

We’re so excited to introduce Austin and Kiefer!

Kiefer has jumped right in by leading yoga, creating space for movement, grounding, and connection for our youth.

Austin is leading the charge in facilitating our trait-based recovery programming — helping teens better understand themselves, build self-awareness, and strengthen the tools they need for long-term recovery.

We’re genuinely excited about what they each bring to Bridges. Their presence is already expanding what’s possible in our programming.

Grateful for this team. 💛
