[SCORA X-changes - Pakistan]

Pakistan
One Country, innumerable hues

Situated in the heart of South Asia, the fifth most populous country in the world known otherwise as the land of pure. A profound blend of landscapes; ranging from lush green plains to dazzling desert, from vast forests inhabiting incredibly voracious wildlife to the warm and sunny beaches of Arabian Sea, from the impassable mountains to the eye catching lakes and so much more; awaits to satisfy your wanderlust. An amalgam of snowy winters up North, sunny summers down South, exotic spring featuring each and every color of the spectrum, and breath-taking views of the fall; add to the uniqueness of the country. It’s not just the seasons which contribute to the diversity of Pakistan, but it’s the culture which itself is a perfect fusion of ancient ethics and modern day methodology. Being home to the ancient human civilisations of South Asia in the past, Pakistan inhabits people from diverse cultural, religious and social backgrounds at present. Pakistan proudly stands on the world map as a country that came into being on the righteous standards of freedom of expression and equality for the people, irrespective of their color, creed, race or religion. While the land itself possesses the skyhigh mountain ranges including K-2, the second highest peak of the world; Deosai Plains, the second highest plains of the world; beautiful valleys of Gilgit and Hunza; sandy shores of Gawaddar; the inhabitants of the country are rich at heart. Pakistani people are well-known all around the globe for their hospitality and welcoming nature.

[SCORA X-changes - Islamabad]

Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan, and is federally administered as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory. Islamabad is the ninth largest city in Pakistan. Commonly known as the dominant one of the "Twin City" pair (the other one being Rawalpindi).

Must visit landmarks:
-Faisal Masjid
-Damn-e-koh

What makes Islamabad unique?
Unlike the rest of Pakistan, Islamabad has a very high foreigner to local ratio. People from all around the world gather in this beautiful city and enjoy the perfect amalgam of modern day technology and natural scenic beauty.

Things to do in Islamabad?
depending on your taste Islamabad has it all. From cliff-diving and paragliding in the Rawal Lake to trekking and camping on the Margalla Hills. From a sight-seeing tour city-wide to quiet tea-times at local dhabbas. We have it all.

So what're you waiting for, sign up now and enjoy our hospitality. We put our money where our mouth is and upon our word you won't be dissapointed. 😜

[SCORA X-changes - Swat]

Swat Valley is a popular tourist destination located in the North-Eastern Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its snow-capped mountains, lush green meadows, and crystal clear lakes have earned it the title of “heaven on earth" and Switzerland of Pakistan”.

However, this is only half the story. People visit the valley for its natural beauty, but stay for its people and their history (and free fruit!) As you go about exploring you will see many fruit orchids and, and it's completely normal to get out, check a few pieces for free and then buy some for later. It's a part of the Pakistani tradition, and heritage and you will see this throughout - whether it be in the form of edibles or in the form of forts and palaces.

Must-visit destinations:
- Mahodand Lake
- Kalam Valley
- Kumrat Valley
- Madyan
- Bahrain
- Saidu Sharif
- Malam Jabba

So what're you waiting for? Sign up now for SCORA Xchanges at IFMSA-Pakistan and enjoy our hospitality. The land of pure is waiting for you! ❤️

Red hugs,

[The Global Health Delivery Project]

Ladies and gentlemen, the second GHDP Capacity Building Training Session today will be on Community level challenges in Global Health.

It is important to understand the complexities and realities of delivering healthcare services. Perceptions about illness can be an initial obstacle, as sickness can have a socially crippling stigma. Health interventions are sometimes resisted and avoided by communities because they have heard rumors that certain surgeries and treatments lead to negative outcomes. Medical doctors sometimes are in competition with traditional healers who treat patients, and it is important that they work in concert with one another. Weather and family dynamics are also important to consider.

Our trainer for the session is Hamaiyl Sana; currently serving as the Vice President for Capacity Building IFMSA-Pakistan BUMHS LC as well as author of the policy document 'Cultural Competence in Healthcare' that got adopted at the IFMSA March Meeting 2020 in Rwanda.

The session will be a closed one and 30 participants have been selected from different NMOs based on their motivation to spread knowledge regarding global health delivery far and wide!

Passionate hugs,
Adeel and Arsalan
