Cholesterol Control - Keep your Arteries Clean

Even though it’s important to reduce the amount of cholesterol in your diet, the real culprit lies elsewhere. The component in food that has the biggest effect on cholesterol levels is saturated fat. Saturated fats, which are found mostly in animal foods such as red meat, whole and 2% milk, egg yolks, butter and cheese can increase the amount of LDL cholesterol in the bloodstream as well as the total amount of cholesterol. Even though it’s a good idea to reduce the amount of fat in your diet there’s one type of fact that you can feel good about eating. It has been said that having moderate amounts of monounsaturated fat the kind in avocados and olive oil can lower levels of harmful LDL cholesterol while leaving the beneficial high density HDL untouched.
Do you know that eating whole grains beans, and fresh fruits help keep your digestive system in top shape, but you may want to eat these foods to reduce cholesterol too .

Are you waking up and feeling this way? You should be, life is a gift don’t waste it. If you are not indulging in improving yourself daily, if you’re not learning everyday, if you are not living in the moment, stop and reset! What is not allowing you to feel this way? Life throws different scenarios in our direction and all of those scenarios cause an impact in our lives, more so when they are health related. It can be a loss of some type, a loved one, a job, a home, etc.
It is never too late to catch yourself and as I say put yourself in good standing. We are the only ones that can help ourselves. Analyze where in my life can I make adjustments? Look at your pillar, what do you see, where can you improve?
It is never too late. I always think back to my diagnosis what if I stayed in bed all day cuddled in a ball and cried feeling sorry for myself that I will be in a wheelchair in 10 years or so. Sometimes it's to late,and I can understand that depending on your diagnosis and so forth. I didn't wait, I got up and made a list and said where do I start, my father (my mentor), my rheumatologist, we all got on board. My mind said I have crappy days and hard days, and sad days, BUT, I will not end up in that wheelchair if I can control it.
Because that was my diagnosis and I turned that table, turn your table!

I went into this field not to become rich but to mentor, guide and help those that are now walking the shoes that I had to work through. I definitely know when a doctor says you have this and this is the progress, this is what will happen and the cloud that forms over you. Is It Possible?
I have been open and shared my health journey with so many individuals. My health journey began a while back. It really took off when I lost my father during Covid times. Going back to school and taking up a whole new space gave me motivation, but also carried me through grief. I remember every test, every paper I had to do my best to honor my father. He walked me through my Lupus journey I had to find a way to thank him for what he did for me.
To share some background I come from a family where "Cholesterol" is the norm. I have always managed naturally until a few months back where I had to resort to medication for 30 days. I do not take medication, however, I knew to get under control it was a must. I told my doctor it will only be 30 days, I am going to lose 10 pounds and I will manage from there with a holistic approach. I went back a little over 30 days later, a little over 10 pounds lighter. I share this story with you because this is what Holistic Health is all about. It is okay get a little help, we must help ourselves using all our natural resources. Happy to say all I needed was 30 days and I know I can take it from here. It's not because I am a Holistic Practitioner, it's because I learned in the last few years how to care for myself and my body.
