It’s all the time in between for me. 👌🏼
Losing weight is something most people want a quick fix for.. but then they give up the minute it doesn’t work or their weight fluctuates or plateaus.
Summer 2018, we went back home to NY for vacation with friends, I was not even 9 months postpartum with Stella, I had just had hernia surgery, was still nursing, working out as much as I could with 3 littles, and just disgusted with how I felt and looked.
I was really upset because I had worked out SO hard during my pregnancy and I felt like it was all for nothing after a horrid postpartum recovery.
But I didn’t rush.
I didn’t look for a magic pill or plan.
Instead I got back on track and gave myself some grace.
I gained back a lot in 2020 from stress and everything I went through with my awful neighbors, I was mad at myself for that.
But I didn’t give up, and instead healed myself from the inside out, and got back on track.
We moved 6 months ago, and in December I had an injury set back, I gained 10 pounds.
(Why does it come on SO damn easily, but is so hard to get OFF).
Again, I healed, and got back to it.
People always ask me for my secret.. ‘how do you do it?!’
The truth is I just don’t give up on myself. I’m not the best, or the fastest, or the fittest.
But everyday I wake up and I TRY my best. I listen to my body, I heal it, I move it, I thank it and I show up for ME.
There’s four years in between those photos, and you might see a before and after but what you don’t see is every up and down 📈📉 that happened along the way to get me here today.
So here’s your reminder to stop looking for a quick fix and just do it for you, fall in love with the process, show up when you want to quit, and love where you are in the current moment because you are amazing, strong, and worthy.

drink 2-3 liters of water daily
Avoid sugary drinks, sweets and fried foods.
Focus on natural food.
Avoid processed foods.
Eat enough protein.
Eat more vegetables.
30-45 Minutes Weights + Cardio / 4-5 days a week

And it takes time to lose weight. Don't put pressure on yourself, don't stress.
Do it slowly, in a disciplined and consistent manner.
Next year lean puppets certainly good health.

Shhhh... don’t tell my kids they aren’t eating potatoes in their tacos. Chayote is a pretty good substitute for potatoes and they worked great in picadillo too! Pan fried some diced chayote, mixed it into a batch of taco meat, and they were none the wiser. I put a a big scoop of it on a bed of lettuce and added sour cream, avocado, cheese, pico de gallo, and a sprinkle of salted chile piquins.
