Seesaws ain't just for the playground.

Managing injuries and training is a balancing act.

One that is easier said than done.

Spend your time training and recovering smarter, not harder!

You don't need the fancy recovery gimmick.

Do the basics well, and you'll have done as much as is in your control to reduce your risk of injury.

However, injuries are inevitable.

But wouldn't you prefer to be active and get injured than inactive with poor health?

I know which one I'm choosing!

I work with people who have overlapping goals (body composition, health, performance, rehab).

Usually, I work with people where pain/injury limits their ability to achieve their goals.

I specialise in making simple plans for complex problems, without being reductionist.

If you fit this criteria and need help, DM me.

''𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴''

Give me a break, Karen!

This is an age old myth that running is bad for your joints.

But it's inaccurate.

Not only is running not bad...

It's actually good for your knees.

Your cartilage can adapt and get stronger from running..

Just like your muscles would adapt in the gym.

Sure, you might get pain in your knees..

But if you've been following me for a while, you know that pain isn't always a bad thing.

If you want to live a long and healthy life, spend more time running....

And less time worrying about getting injured.

As always, DM if you need help navigating your fitness around pain or injuries

Be careful what information you use to make decisions about your health.

Are you taking advice from someone with the necessary qualifications?

Or are you taking advice from an influencer/celebrity where they may be financially incentivised to promote specific health & wellness information?

Social media is rife with inaccurate & potentially dangerous medical information.

It's hard to know who to trust.

Seek credentials.

Not status.

Remain skeptical.

4 things that people prioritise for their recovery.

However, low value + time consuming activities shouldn't be prioritised.

Why waste time when you could spend your time doing stuff that actually moves the needle.

If you need help developing a plan, DM me.

When pain persists, it becomes less about damage & more about your system being easily triggered.

The car alarm is triggered despite there being no threat to the car.

& your pain is triggered despite there being no actual threat to you.

Remember this when things are still causing you pain for months, the alarm is almost too efficient, detecting pain when it's not relevant.

Turning down the volume of this threat detection system is a big part of physiotherapy.

DM for coaching and physio consultations.
