超越执著(attachment)所带来之痛苦

问: 在人际关系中,为什么执著常常带来痛苦?我们该如何深爱却不被牵绊或受伤?为什么超越执迷如此重要?

答:那是因为它让你痛苦。如果它不带来痛苦,你根本不会想到要摆脱它。

执著之所以带来痛苦,是因为无明。

不要试图摆脱执著。我会说,你应该学会内在安住。扩展你对生命与这个世界的理解,当你的视野拓展,执著自然就会消失,不需费力去除。

就像小孩子很黏棉花糖,如果你给他们一个甜点,他们就会迫不及待地抢来吃。但等他们长大后,对糖果与玩具的渴望就自动淡去了。他们并不需要刻意去「放下」那份执著。

放下,是一种自然的过程。当成熟在你之中绽放,内在的扩展也随之而来——你便不再被生命中那些琐碎的小事纠缠。

否则,以前若有人对你不礼貌或侮辱你,你会感到极度受伤,长久怀恨,有时甚至记恨几个月。你还会告诉自己:「我永远不会忘记那个人怎么对待我。」但为什么要用这样的想法折磨自己呢?我们却常常这样做,甚至会为自己记仇而感到骄傲。这是愚昧的行为。

你应该观察并接纳:不同的人有不同的说话方式、行为表现、做事方式与情感表达。不要以为因此他们就没有爱心。事实上并非如此。只是你可能看不出来,或他们未必知道如何正确表达。

试著从对方的角度看事情。如果以爱之名坠入迷恋与执著,你只会陷入痛苦;但若是真爱,即便是牺牲,也会带来圆满与满足。

Question - In relationships, why does attachment often lead to pain? How can we love deeply without getting entangled or hurt, and why is it important to rise above attachment?

Sri Sri: It is because it gives you pain. If it did not bring you pain, you would never think of getting rid of attachment.‬

Attachment gives pain because of ignorance.

Do not try to get out of attachment. Instead, I would say, learn to be centered. Expand your understanding of life and of this creation. Then you will see that you do not need to make an effort to get rid of attachment. It will automatically go away.

Young children are so attached to cotton candy. If you keep a sweet before them, they just want to grab and eat it. But when they grow older, the craving for sweets and toys drops off by itself. They did not have to make an effort to get detached from that.

Detachment is a very natural happening. When maturity blossoms in you, an expansion begins to dawn within you; that is when you stop getting stuck and entangled in small petty things in life.

Otherwise, earlier if someone ill-treated or insulted you, you would get so hurt and keep a grudge in your heart for a long time, sometimes even for months at a time. You would tell yourself, ‘I am never going to forget how that person treated me’. Why do you want to harm yourself with such thoughts? We do this so often, and many times, we feel proud about keeping a grudge in our mind. This is foolishness.

You should observe and accept that different people have different ways of talking, different behaviors, and different approaches to doing things and expressing themselves. Do not think that because of this they do not have any love in their heart. It is not so at all. It is just that you may not be able to see it, or that they may not be able to express it in a proper way.

Just look at things from the other’s perspective. In the name of love, if you fall into an infatuation or attachment, then you will only get misery. But in true love, even sacrifice brings contentment.

Your Subtle body is 12 inches all around your physical body. Now when this subtle body shrinks, you feel so bad. And it shrinks further, that's when you feel depressed. And if it shrinks even further, with no prana, that is the suicidal tendencies.

You know, when the scarf is too tight, what is the tendency in you normally? You want to just get rid of it, right? In the same way, when the subtle body shrinks with no prana, no energy, that is when a person want to jump out of the body, want to su***de. Now su***de is not the solution. Su***de is feeling very cold and removing your jacket also.

What would help? Increasing your prana level. When the prana level is increased, your subtle body becomes normal. You feel good. But when the subtle body increases even further, even bigger, it goes more to the causal body, then you feel very blissful. There is bliss, positive vibrations in you. You feel energetic. Even few minutes of your contact with the causal body brings energy in you.

如何保持注意力集中?

问:我有时候很难保持注意力集中在一件事上,这时常影响我的学习和工作进度,无法保持专一的心,我该怎么办呢?

答:要克服它们只要做一件事:重复,不断地重复。

只做一件事,专一的做一件事,当你持续地做一件事会怎样?无聊出现,焦躁会浮现。

「焦躁」和「无聊」会把你带到「清晰」的顶点,这是唯一的办法。我们的心会烦恼,因为心老是「执著于二元性」。

它有选择,所以更加困扰,“我该做这个吗?”,“我不应该做那个吗?”,心到处跃动,这个那个的!

专注于一件事的原则:只实践做一件事!除了这没有其他的,像这样把握一个原则,在所有事物里只看到这个原则。

跟人在一起时,你们基本上都是用頭腦在溝通;
到了大自然里,你則会不自觉哼起歌來——这是一種心的沟通。
當你跟人在一起時,你總是说个不停,這一切都在頭脑里打转;
可是在大自然面前,你會哼一首歌曲,那是你的心敞开了的一種溝通。
而当你站在师父的面前時呢?
你的頭腦會直接清空,所有问题都消散了——

When you meet with people, often you communicate from head to head. When you are with nature, you start singing, you communicate with nature from your heart. Often when you are with people you keep talking, blabbering, and you keep the communication on the level of the head only. But when you are with nature, you start humming and your communication comes through the heart. And when you are with the guru, you go blank and forget all the questions. Then communication comes through the soul in silence.

从前有位厉害的老师,口才特别好,讲道理谁都信服。他懂不少经文和修行方法,大家都很尊敬他,但他总觉得还缺了点什么——他想找个真正的师父。那时候他还没拜师,但他相信:“时候到了,师父自然会出现。”

果然,当他离开王国时,国王问他:“要去哪儿啊?”他说要去某地找某位师父。国王说:“三百公里太远了!坐我的轿子去吧。”

到了小镇,他对抬轿的人说:“带我去见师父。”突然一个轿夫站起来:“我就是。”

老师惊得跪倒在地:“天啊!您怎么能给我抬轿子?您从哪儿开始抬的?”

师父平静地说:“半路开始的。听说你要来,我走了一半路来接你。走吧!”——原来师父特意走了一百五十公里,亲自把弟子的轿子抬回住处,笑着说:“你要找的人,就在这儿。”

There was a talented teacher. He was a great orator, who would convince people very well. He had a fair knowledge of scriptures and spiritual techniques also. He was very good, but he was not complete; he was in search of a Master. Everyone used to honor him, but he lacked that final touch. He just wanted to surrender to a Master. He didn’t have a Master at that time. Only when the time comes, the Master also comes.

So, the time had come. He knew who his Master was, and he was in search for him. When he was departing from the kingdom, the king asked, “Where do you want to go”? He said he wanted to meet such and such a Master in such and such and such a place. Then king said, “Oh, it is so far, 300 kilometers away. You cannot walk and go. You can take my palanquin”. So, he sent his palanquin. The teacher sat in the palanquin and started going towards the Master.

And then he arrived in that town. He asked a person carrying the palanquin to take him to the Master, and one of them, who was carrying the palanquin, stood up and said, ” I am him”.

The teacher was so moved that he fell at his feet. He said, “How could you do this?’ How could you carry me? From where you have been carrying me?”

The Master answered, “Half the way. I heard you were coming to see me, so half the way I came to bring you to me. Now come, Lets go.” So the Master came half-way and carried the palanquin of the disciple and brought him to the place and said, ”Here I am, the person you are looking for.”

Like that God is already carrying you and is right there with you. You take one step towards the Master, and He will take ten steps towards you. But that one step has to be taken. If you take one step back, God will take ten steps back. This is the tradition of Masters. So much humbleness, humility and simplicity is needed."
