Honored to be included in such a “hot topic.” The reality is, we live in a different world today, and we all need to balance our physical and emotional health more than ever. Raising our children’s self awareness and understanding why they think, feel and believe what they do is beyond important. The last year and a half have been so hard on all of us. But, even before the pandemic, our children have experienced levels of anxiety higher than ever previously reported. These levels of stress have challenged brain development, increased poor self esteem and low self confidence. It is my hope we can all start to see that everything is relative and where our children are at is relative to our current world.

More and more schools are offering mental health days for children. Here’s how parents can make the most out of a child's day off.
