You won’t find a quick fix here!
When it comes to wanting to lose weight often times we feel frustrated, we say nothing has worked, we also most likely say I’ve already tried everything.
But have you really tried everything? Or have the things you’ve tried been

◾️fad diets

◾️deprivation diets

◾️diets that promise fast weight loss and describe foods as bad or good

◾️quick fixes

Have you ever tried making realistic goals to simply be HEALTHY?
Sometimes all you need to do is make small realistic adjustments and stay consistent with them over a period of time and you will get the results you’re looking for.
You can make it a goal to

◽️drink half your body weight in water

◽️include 2-3 cups of veggies throughout your day

◽️move your body for 30 mins a day
(That could mean simply going for a walk)

◽️track what you eat and how it makes your feel (this will help you to know what’s helping your body and what’s not)
There is no one size fits all diet. That’s why everything you’ve tried in the past hasn’t worked. Only YOU know what works for you.

Sunshine ☀️ Is The Best Medicine
Have you’ve been feeling frustrated with having to stay home...? Maybe even experiencing pandemic fatigue?
I know I have 🙋🏻‍♀️.
Here are a few tips to find ways to have fun and to soak in some sun!
find a hike that is close by and try going some time during the week at a time you know no one really goes. Have fun! Skip, jump, laugh.

take a trip to the beach! Do some cartwheels, jump rope with some seaweed, chase the birds. Getting outside and smelling that fresh air with instantly boost your mood.

just enjoying the outside whether it’s cold or warm where you love will help with that fatigue you’re experiencing. When you go for a walk enjoy it! Listen to the sounds around you. Take in all of nature’s beauty.
And don’t forget to smile! Everyday is a blessing! Being able to move your body is a privilege!

What do you tell yourself when you look in the mirror?
Take a minute to really think about how you talk to yourself...
You may be wondering why this is important. Well, it’s important because our bodies hear 👂🏼 all of it. If we talk to ourselves negatively we will get a negative response but if we focus on loving ourselves and talking to ourselves positively we will get positive responses.
Eating healthy and exercising aren’t a form of punishment. They’re a form of self love and self respect.
How so?
The better you treat yourself the better you feel. The better you feel the better you are towards others.
So talk to yourself positively and be happy with making those healthy choices!

We all deal with hardships at one point or another in our lives. The question is... How do we manage through them?
Personally I’ve struggled with so much in the past and I still have hard times now. But I now have the tools to help me manage so my struggles are less and less! I’m determined more than ever to continue to show up for myself.

Looking For A Fresh Start?
There’s always so much pressure out on every
🌟 New year

🌟 New month

🌟 New week

But what about A New Day...?
Why succumb to the pressure society has put on certain beginnings? Instead why not creat your own fresh start!?
Often times we slip up on our new healthy habits and give in to those Oreo cookies, bag of chips, or even your favorite take out. We spend the rest of the day beating ourselves up about it and then justifying by saying it’s ok I’ll start again.... on Monday or next month sometimes even next year.
Why not create a fresh start for yourself the next day or better yet the next meal!
Here are a few tips you can do to give yourself a fresh start without having to wait days, weeks, or months.

☀️💜 After your indulgence don’t start by beating yourself up! Instead speak to yourself positively for example instead of saying, “I’m such a failure” start by saying, “ I’m going to use this experience as a lesson and learn from it.”

💧💦 Then set a goal of how much water you will drink for the rest of the day and try filling up as many water bottles as it takes to reach that goal. Set those water bottles on a counter near you so you can constantly see them and be reminded of your goal.

🥗🥙 Next, at your next meal try adding some veggies. Maybe some baby carrots and hummus if your looking for a a snack. Or a side of roasted broccoli and a side salad to complement your meal.

By having a plan you will know what to do anytime you over do it with your favorite meals or treats. Implementing these tips will help you stay on track with your goals whether that’s losing weight, having a better relationship towards food, or simply creating new healthy habits.

Are you ready for a change?
Often times we wait for a new year, a new month, or a new week to initiate change. But why wait?
Change starts with you.
You can begin with small changes. Even starting with your mindset will help you have a positive look on your personal journey.
Here are a few things we can start with today...

Make it a goal to write ✍🏼 three things you’re grateful for. This will help you start your day in a positive mindset.

💦
By drinking more water you will help to improve your overall energy levels and so much more. Make it a goal to drink half your body weight in ounces.
💦 You can pick out your favorite water bottle and have it handy.
💦 Or you can fill up enough water bottles for your entire day and remember that finishing them is your goal.
💦 You can even set a reminder on your phone and every time it goes off you will be reminded to drink water.

🥗
Vegetables are a very important part of our healthy lifestyle. They help us with digestion, to keep us full, and they promote healthy weight loss.
If you struggle with eating veggies because you don’t like them then be open to trying new ways to prepare them. If you don’t like veggies often times it’s because of the way they’re made, so experiment a little. Try having one cup of veggies with lunch and dinner and if you’re snacks in between try reaching for a veggie instead of that bag of cookies or chips. Believe me the more veggies you try and enjoy eating the more you’ll crave them instead of other things.

Before & After
There are great benefits that come from finishing a program from start to finish.
Not only do you get to see how much stronger you get in the course of a program but you also get that feeling of accomplishment because you were able to commit to doing something for YOU.
Aside from the physical transformation you get when completing a program from start to finish you also transform your mindset.
In the first picture on the left I was in such a negative head space. I was depressed and could barely even take a photo of myself. As you can see I didn’t even get my whole head in the picture because of how I felt.
In the second picture I’m looking down because I was battling negative feelings. I was stronger mentally than the first picture but I was still slipping back into that negative mindset more often then I wanted to.
In the third picture you can see my smiling. I was embarrassed to smile too big so I was holding back a little. I got stronger mentally!
I was proud of myself. I felt good. I wasn’t smiling because of the physical transformation which I’m happy about too but the mental transformation was what made me so happy!
My mindset transformation did not happen overnight. It took time, commitment, and hard work. In the end it was all worth it.
Does this mean my journey is over...?
Absolutely not! I am still working on myself daily.
Everyday matter.

How does working out help your anxiety...?
Many have asked me this question so i decided to post it for all to see because it’s important to me.
The first thing we learn to do when we come out of our mother’s womb is to breathe. Everyday after we are born we breathe.

💙When we face traumatic situations our breathing changes.

💙When we are sad our breathing changes.

💙When we are excited our breathing changes.

💙When we are happy our breathing changes.

💙When we have an anxiety attack our breathing changes.

💙When we are upset our breathing changes.
Anxiety and breathing go hand in hand.
If you’ve ever had a panic attack or an anxiety attack one of the first things someone will tell you is to BREATHE. But what do we do if we have no control over our breathe, how can we just breathe? Personally I have faced this challenge several times and it is hard to just simply control your breathing. Even in a place where everything is calm you have to concentrate deeply to control your breathe and make it do what you want it to.
🌬💪🏼Breathing and Exercise (working out) go hand in hand as well. The super trainer I’ve been working with really shines light on the importance of controlling your breathing instead of allowing you’re breathing to control you. When I work out i get winded, i feel shortness of breath at times. During those moments I try to concentrate on controlling my breathing. Over time I have improved and this has this helped me to improve my breathing when I face an anxiety attack. Instead of panicking and not knowing what to do I am able to go into the same concentration and focus on my breathing.
I have not mastered it but I have come a long way. It’s amazing to reflect on how our bodies are created. Anxiety is hard to deal with but it is not impossible. Finding new ways to control what we might feel is out of control will help us in ways we can’t imagine.
Here’s your challenge for today:
As you go about your day try recognizing the changes in your breathing and how it makes you feel.

Procrastination
Are you a procrastinator?
I’ve definitely have been a procrastinator several times in my life. But I’ve come to see that one thing that should not be put on the back burner, one thing that should not be procrastinated and that is YOUR HEALTH AND MENTAL WELLNESS!!!!
Take action today! Try doing these 3 things today and take time to reflect on how they made you feel.
1) Go for a 15 min walk.
As you walk do your best to be present. Take in the fresh air. Look at your surroundings. Really ask yourself how you feel today.
2) Have 1 healthy meal.
Try your best to make something you will enjoy.
3) Journal how your day went and how you’ve been feeling.
Write out all your emotions and ask yourself...
What can I do to feel better?

Feeling Alone...?
No worries I got your back! If you are tired of being alone and trying to figure out what a healthy lifestyle looks like for you all by yourself, you don’t have to do that anymore.
It’s vital to have a support group! A group of people who know your “why” (why you started, why you are doing this) and can motivate you to keep going when you feel unmotivated or when you hit your ‘im just gonna give up’ moment. Because believe me we all have them.
