People ask. “Do you take insurance ?”
When I explain that my services are not covered by most insurance.
People sometimes reply with “You have to be rich in order to have good medical care”
Here is the truth.
A plan from your employer can cost $800 a month. Thats a yearly cost of $10,200.
You have a co-pay of $60/visit
You have a $25 co-pay for your prescription.
You have an out of pocket max of $10,000
(Meaning if you are hospitalized 1 time or visit the ER an average of 3 times in 1 year) you have to pay out of pocket $10,000 before your insurance will kick in and pay 80-100% of the remaining total.
So let’s put this is perspective-
It’s $125/month to be a member at my clinic. This includes monthly video/phone calls. 4 office visits a year for general follow up and unlimited sick visits with NO co-pay. Thats $1500/year
If you do HRT average RX is $100/month equaling $1200 for the year.
Labs are around $500/year
That’s total of $3200… for the year
That is a savings of $7000 off the top!!
Now add a healthshare in there for the holy s**t events (which is why we have insurance in the first place)
Max price is $280/month if you’re older than 50. Total is $3360
Ok… keep with me here!!
Everyday care cost for primary care HRT plus general sick visits cost =$3200
Healthshare cost =$3360
You’re still saving $3640 that’s giving yourself a $1.75/ hour raise!!
Now.. throw in your MAX out of pocket is $3000/ year!!!
What????
