6 mistakes you might be doing in your aerial yoga practice ✨
1️⃣ Skipping your warm-up
Going straight into the hammock without preparing your joints and muscles can increase the risk of injury and make poses feel harder than they should.
2️⃣ Pulling too much with your arms
Relying only on arm strength strains your shoulders. Aerial yoga is about engaging your core and legs so the whole body works together.
3️⃣ Hanging too long in one pose
More than 3 minutes in a single inversion or static hold can put stress on circulation and joints. Flowing between poses keeps your practice safe.
4️⃣ Forgetting your breath
When breath becomes shallow or held, tension builds up. Conscious breathing makes every transition smoother and more graceful.
5️⃣ Rushing into advanced tricks
Skipping foundational poses makes you unstable and less fluid. Master the basics first — they are the building blocks of creative flows.
6️⃣ Neglecting recovery and stretches
Your nervous system and muscles need time to reset. Ending with grounding stretches makes your practice complete.
