Practice practice practice.
I read a book a while back, you may have heard of it. “Rich dad, poor dad” by Robert Kiyosaki
In the book, Robert talks about the differences in mindset between his poor dad (his biological dad) and his rich dad. (A close friends dad that took Robert under his wing)
Roberts rich dad told him that if he wanted to make something happen, he needed to change his mindset. Instead of saying “I can’t afford this”, to say, “how can I afford this?” And then taking action to make it happen.
This has stuck with me. I now think of this saying with many things in life. For example, in asana practice. instead of saying “I’m not flexible or strong enough for that” to say “how can I become more flexible and strong so I can do that?”
Food for thought.
What other contexts can you apply this mindset shift to?
