This week last year was a hard one. Thank you everyone that helped get her and her family through it. Prayers work 🎗️💗🎗️
3/13 UPDATE. An ultrasound was done this morning. The good news is her pancreatitis has not gotten worse, bad news it hasn't really improved. She is getting her appetite back, which is good, but because of her condition, she is on clear liquids only, and she wants pizza. 😢 Looks like she will remain inpatient for a few more days, and the days are getting long. Her Amazon wishlist has been updated, so if you want to send her a little pick me up, here I the link. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/28Q38UGY93APR?ref_=wl_share
3/12 update: nothing has really changed. They are going to try to change her morphine from every 4 hours to every 6 and see how she responds. Everytime she starts waking up, she says her tummy hurts. This is day 3 with no food. Hopefully this clears up soon. 🙏🎗️🙏
3/11 UPDATE. Bree was transmitted to Texas Children's Woodlands campus. She is still still receiving morphine for the pain. She was elevated from NPO to having water and juice. We are waiting for the doctor to make rounds and give us more information.
UPDATE: Bree has been given several rounds of morphine for her pain. She's been vomiting and can't keep anything down. They are pushing IV fluids and she's on a 24 hr food/drink hold. She's been in and out of sleep since given the morphine. There is currently no "fix" for pancreatitis but letting the tummy "rest" and treating the symptoms. We are still in the ER waiting for a room 🙄 hopefully we will be able to get a better room where we can all sleep. We will update when we have more information.
Bree woke up around 3am wanting a snack. shortly after she began to have extreme belly pain coming and going. This went on for about two hours. We made a call to her on call oncologist and they told us to bring her in to the ER. Unfortunately we just got the results back and she's developed pancreatitis. We will update here when we get more information.
