"Have we lost our head during radiation protection?" 🤔 🧠 ☢️

The annual CIRSE - Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe congress takes place from September 9 until 13, and Texray will join onsite in this year's edition in Copenhagen, DK.

Based on last year's successful talk performed by Jim Reekers, Em. Professor IR, EBIR, FCIRSE, FSIR, University of Amsterdam/NL on the topic; "The Fear of Radiation," we are happy to announce that Prof. Reekers will yet again perform this year's talk in the Radiation Protection Pavillion. His unique way of capturing his audience makes his talk a "can't-miss-session," and the topic for this year: "Have we lost our head during radiation protection?" makes it even more interesting.

💡Learning objectives will include:
▪️Brain protection is important
▪️Better safe than sorry
▪️A combination of neck and head protection gives the best radiation reduction to the brain.

A recent study performed in General radiology and Neuro interventional radiology by Prof. Stefan Rohde and Mr. Felix Bärenfänger showed alarming radiation dose values towards the performing physician's head after only 20 examinations.
