Alyson recently joined BAYADA Clinical Education Specialist Linda from our Sellersville, PA team, who welcomed nursing students from Lincoln Tech Allentown into their simulation lab. For an afternoon, these students were able to step into the shoes of our Nurse Residency participants and gain hands-on learning experience, where real-time feedback and support are offered.

For nursing students curious about how home care can expand their skills and touch lives in a deeply personal way, experiences like this are just the beginning.

Maria, one of our BAYADA clients, spent a special day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium with her habilitation technician (Hab Tech), Sam. They walked through the exhibits together, shared laughs, and created memories that support Maria’s journey toward greater independence in her community.

We are deeply grateful for Hab Techs like Sam, whose compassion, patience, and encouragement help clients like Maria feel seen, supported, and confident.

Our BAYADA Behavioral Health Maui, HI team recently joined organizations across Maui County in celebration of the Month of the Young Child, known as “Nurturing Keiki, Strengthening ʻOhana.” This event was led by the The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The celebration focused on uplifting keiki (children), supporting families, and recognizing the importance of early childhood development across the islands.

At the Month of the Young Child event, Richard T. Bissen Jr., Mayor of Maui County, joined community members to recognize the importance of early childhood and issued a proclamation officially naming April 2026 as the Month of the Young Child in Maui County.

Aside from her role as Director of our BAYADA Big Island, HI, office, Chelsea Gornichec serves on the Autism Society Hawaii Board of Directors as the Big Island Director and Neighbor Island Representative. Her dedication to championing inclusion continues to make a meaningful impact across the state of Hawaii. Through her leadership and involvement, the Autism Society of Hawaii successfully hosted a sensory-friendly movie event simultaneously across O'ahu, Maui, and Hawai'i, an incredible milestone for the community.

Chelsea played a key role in coordinating and supporting volunteers, ensuring each event was thoughtfully organized and welcoming for the community. Her commitment helped create an inclusive environment where everyone felt comfortable and supported.

At BAYADA, every act of service is a story of compassion in action. Recently, our Hickory, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem, NC teams came together to volunteer at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad, a true “home away from home” for families whose children are receiving medical care in the community.

In a warm, bustling kitchen, our teammates rolled up their sleeves to bake sweet treats, filling the House with the smell of fresh cookies and the sound of shared laughter. What began as a volunteer shift quickly became something more. It was a chance to offer comfort for families facing some of their hardest days.

We are deeply grateful to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad for welcoming our BAYADA team, and to every BAYADA volunteer who gave their time, heart, and talent to support this incredible community. ❤️

For her first visit to our Global Support Center, Rosi, BAYADA Associate Director, found herself surrounded by leaders who share the same heart for service. Throughout the day, they traded ideas, challenged one another to think bigger for their teams, and reflected on new ways to reach more clients with compassionate care.

“Being with such driven, well-rounded leaders reminded me that our impact multiplies when we learn from one another and lead with the same purpose,” Rosi shared. “Moments like this make me deeply grateful to be part of this mission-driven work at BAYADA.”

In 2021, BAYADA Home Health Area Director William turned a personal mission into a powerful act of community. Wanting to honor his daughter with autism and give back in a meaningful way, he joined the Eagles Autism Foundation cycling fundraiser as a team of one.

Today, that effort has grown into a team of 20 riders who have raised $120,000 to support autism research and care programs.

For William, this journey is about more than fundraising. It is about bringing people together, inspiring action, and creating a lasting impact alongside the family and friends who have supported him every step of the way.

Thank you, William, for sharing your story and for reflecting the compassion, purpose, and community spirit at the heart of BAYADA. ❤️

The Columbia Fireflies hosted a Sensory Safe Sunday at Segra Park, designed for fans with sensory sensitivities. The special game featured reduced speaker volume, dimmed video board lighting, and a designated quiet zone to create a comfortable and inclusive environment in honor of Autism Awareness Month.

BAYADA Skilled Nursing Columbia, SC Clinical Manager Virginia and Client Service Manager Emily represented BAYADA Home Health Care during the event, providing resources and engaging with the community. There was even a special guest appearance from one of our clients, Christian, who had a great time at the event.

Thank you to the Columbia Fireflies for welcoming our team and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event.
