Hi. Kerry is doing good. Was using a walker when going to appts. & placing outside the house after operation, now using a cane. Was taking 22 different meds, now down to 16 with a few more scheduled to drop off by the end of the year. Still have to get blood drawn 2 times a week to check various levels & adjust meds but only have to see Transplant Dr. every 3 weeks instead of the twice a week for the first month. Drs. are real happy with her progress & she is doing more & more around the house. Still gets tired fast but that should improve over time.

Kerry is doing fine. Still a little weak and slow but improving everyday. Have been having a lot of Drs appts. but that is slowing down now. Drs. are happy with her progress.

Kerry is feeling much better today. Not much discomfort other than normal after surgery pain when she sits up. Should be eating food again today or tomorrow

I just left the hospital, Kidney is working great! She will probably be in the hospital until Wednesday because
She is having a lot of gas & bowel problems because of the surgery and the steroids that they were giving her.

But here is proof surgery went well!!! Now to finish recovery!

Successful surgery!! Kidney was functioning! And now she's getting to drink liquids!!! She said to say things are going well!! Currently in the ICU post surgery!

Only a few minutes till SURGERY!!

KIDNEY TRANSPLANT INCOMING!!!

Surgery is slated to take 3 to 4 hours and dad says he will update in the morning!!

Guess what everyone!!!!

Mom is currently in the Emergency room because there are 2 kidneys available right now and she was number 3 on the list!!!! (Number 1 has backed out)

Testing is happening right now and if all goes well she will be getting a new kidney!!!!!

Send good thoughts to both her and the families of those donating these kidneys. This is a scary/stressful time for all.

This is my kidney compared to your kidney. They can grow to the size of a football each. No I am not pregnant or that fat, it is my kidneys. Normal weight seems to be 10 - 20 lbs each. They can go heavier.

My port has been removed! It was easier coming out than going in. Feels pretty good today so tomorrow will be my first shower in almost 8 months!!! They also have changed my dialysis from 9 to only 8 hours a night!!!
