When tragedy strikes in the world, it’s normal to feel a mix of emotions-sadness, anger, fear, or even numbness. It’s okay to grieve for the world, but it’s also important to care for yourself.

Here are some ways to help you cope:

✨Limit Media Exposure - Stay informed,
but take breaks from the news and social media to protect your mental health.
💛Acknowledge Your Emotions - Your feelings are valid. Allow yourself to process them without judgment.
🌿Engage in Self-Care - Step outside, journal, meditate, or connect with loved ones for support.
🤝Find Ways to Help - If it feels right, channel your emotions into action, whether through donating, volunteering, or spreading awareness.

🌦️Understanding Seasonal Depression: You’re Not Alone🌦️

January may feel long and never ending, but it is important to note that some of us may find ourselves feeling unusually tired, sad, or unmotivated. This could be more than just the “winter blues.” It might be Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)-a type of depression that follows the change in seasons.

Common signs of SAD:
• Low energy or fatigue
• Difficulty concentrating
• Changes in sleep patterns (sleeping too much or too little
• Increased cravings for carbohydrates or weight changes
• Feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or worthlessness.

How to manage SAD:
🌞Spend time outdoors or near natural light
🧘🏽‍♀️Try light therapy
💪🏼Stay active with regular exercise
🗓️Stick to a consistent routine
🗣️Seek support from friends, family, or a therapist
