We are in the final hours of our MWOY Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fundraiser and we are just shy of our $100k goal.
I am reaching out to everyone I know to see if they can make a $50 donation- this will help us reach our goal and more importantly fund LLS’s life saving mission! Can I count on your support?

It’s been a while since we shared but you know what they say, no news is good news! Kevin has been doing well, recovering and getting stronger. He got his final covid vaccine dose today and was cleared to play baseball and fly!

We are excited to share that Kevin’s mon Charlene Ewell is in the running for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man/Woman of the year! This is a 10 week campaign that started on April 8th to raise money for the LLS. We are so thankful for the LLS and all the work they’ve done in the last few years to produce drugs and treatments that have saved so many lives, including Kevin’s! One of my favorite things about their mission is that they are committed to CURING blood cancers, not just treating them. Anything you can give helps this amazing cause but even more so you can share share share with everyone you know! As usual thanks for all of your support 🧡

It’s been a little while so here is an update on Kevin 🧡

Since he has been home he has been doing really well! He had a small case of Graft vs Host Disease (GVHD) of the skin which resulted in a rash. It was quickly taken care of by his team at Northwestern which we are thankful for. GVHD is common and can be taken care of if caught quickly but we are praying he doesn’t get any other form of GVHD (it can be skin, liver, or gut).

Last week Kevin had a bone marrow biopsy. It is common to get one 60-100 days past transplant and some of his blood counts were a little funky. Praise God his biopsy results were completely clean!!! He is around 91% donor cells currently and moving up each week.

He still continues to go to Northwestern for doctor’s appointments every other week and a home nurse comes to draw blood as well. He is going on daily walks, enjoying the baseball season, and even gone on a few light jogs. He is overall doing extremely well and moving in the right direction!
