We live in a society that struggles to understand emotions. Loss leaves us speechless. Betrayal is expected to be brushed aside by the next morning.
Grief remains unfamiliar, and discomfort in conversations makes avoidance the norm. And yet, we wonder why so many feel anxious, exhausted, and profoundly lonely.
Emotional health isn't just about 'feeling better'—it's about learning how to process pain, sit with discomfort, and support each other through life's inevitable hardships. We need spaces where emotions are acknowledged rather than dismissed, where healing isn't rushed, and where people aren't expected to 'function' at the cost of their well-being.
The world won't change overnight, but awareness is the first step. The next time someone is grieving, hurting, or struggling, ask yourself: 'Am I offering understanding, or am I expecting them to suppress their emotions for my comfort?' The difference is life-changing.
