Horror movies that make the home terrifying work because the home is supposed to be your safe space in the world. All the world can crumble but at least you can find comfort in your home.

When you're a child it's your parents' responsibility to keep your home clean and safe. But now that you're an adult it's your turn.

Keeping your home clean and safe sounds like a big task, but it doesn't have to be. Just make sure that you have enough food and that your appliances are working. Or take care of your sick partner and make sure your pets have everything they need. Or do some cleaning either for yourself or to prepare for guests coming over.

I put out a bird feeder so that I could help feed the wild birds as well as provide something to look at while I spend long hours writing. At first there was no activity and I had to move the bird feeder to a better location in my small yard.
