Our residents' joint endeavors resulted in the creation of every decoration for the Peaceful Pines Capital Christmas Tree, adhering to the theme “Songs of the Season”. The tree's splendor is a reflection of the time and love invested in perfecting each ornament, making it a truly priceless experience.

We wrapped our donation box like a giant Christmas present… and it turns out our residents make very enthusiastic gifts, one even popped right out! 😄🎄

We’re collecting items for the Pierre Area Referral Service (PARS) food pantry and would love your help filling the box with pantry staples and personal care essentials.

Crafting is always a favorite. This activity touched on several important areas .. dexterity, mindful skills, social interactions, team building and intellectual skills. We created fall-themed flowers to decorate for Thanksgiving. Great activity with great conversation 🍁🍂

What a magical night it was! Young Rising Nation’s exceptional, native dance performance, not only showcased their talents, but also celebrated their vibrant culture. Our community loved every moment and eagerly awaits their return!!!!

Each morning, we initiate our day by discussing fun historical facts associated with the current date, followed by morning warm-up exercises, which today were led with the assistance of a very special resident.

Today, we honored our Veterans, recognizing their unwavering loyalty to Country. Mike Mullen, Veteran Service Officer and guest speaker, delivered a presentation to honor our Veteran residents. Taylor Chavez, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Dawn Gordon, Life Enrichment Coordinator, presented the Veterans with Certificates of Appreciation while sharing brief bios. Our dining staff provided service above and beyond in preparing an exceptional patriotically themed meal. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our first-ever Leadership Retreat in Oacoma, South Dakota, brought together our incredible Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing for a week filled with learning, laughter, and connection.

Hosted by the iconic Al's Oasis, our theme, “Howdy, Partners!” perfectly captured the spirit of teamwork and South Dakota pride. From unveiling our new Mission, Vision, and Values to training on crucial conversations and welcoming new onboarding tools, this retreat was all about growth, gratitude, and celebrating the people who make Peaceful Pines feel like home.
