Ellis birth story part 1đď¸
Let me start off by saying you know itâs going to be a good birth when both you and your midwife decide to both where the same hairstyleđ
May 24th at 6am I woke up to p*e and get a snack, as I was laying in bed I felt a trickle of water in my underwear at 6:23, looked down and realized my water had just broke! I woke Jeremy up and very calmly said to him âdonât freak out, but my water just brokeâ. I got up and first called Hillary (midwife) to let her know my water had broken but no contractions had started yet. She told me to just continue on my day as usual and get a good breakfast in my system and let her know if contractions start. Next, I called my doula and my photographer to also let them know and just have a heads up. 30 minutes went by and no contractions had started, which was very different from Eastons birth. I put on a diaper as I knew more fluid would continue to come out. I decided to go out in the kitchen and make myself some breakfast, Easton soon woke up and continued about our normal mornings with him.
At 9:30am we had a prenatal appointment with Hillary so we listened to babyâs heart beat, felt how baby was positioned, I decided I did know what to have a cervical check done (since my water had broken I wanted limited chance of infection) she mentioned since contractions still havenât started to go for a walk around the neighborhood and then also could do something pumping if the walk didnât start anything. We went for the walk around the neighborhood with Jer and Easton, some light contractions started but nothing bad at all, just like light period pains. We got back home and I was doing some light hip stretching outside as Easton played with chalk. I was going back and forth about if Easton should stay and be here for the birth or go with my mom, Jer and I both decided it would be better for him to go to my moms so I called her and she came and got himâŚ.
