We had a wonderful visit on our forest bathing walk in Victoria’s Way sculpture garden yesterday ! Thanks to everyone who came along Garden is permanently closing in September and a visit is highly recommended before it closes

Free talk by Kildare Birdwatch Ireland member Edward Gilligan on “Birds and Biodiversity of Leixlip Reservoir” .Leixlip Library on Tuesday 9 September. 6:30 pm until 8pm . The talk aims to highlight the rich nature in and around Leixlip and explore the possibility of starting a local biodiversity group.

Although not edible, King Alfred’s Cakes mushrooms make great firelighters, can be used as charcoal briquettes for campfire cooking, used to transport fire and as hand warmers on a cold day Found this one on our forest bathing/ nature walk today
