Exciting News from Denver Public Library!

The DPL Commission has named a space on the 5th floor of Central Library the James K. Jeffrey Genealogy Collection in honor of longtime Genealogy Specialist James K. Jeffrey.

For 35 years, James helped thousands explore their family history through his knowledge, teaching, and dedication. He also founded and supported many genealogy groups in Colorado and was nationally recognized for his work.

This refreshed space—located near the main research desk—is now a welcoming hub for family history research and a lasting tribute to James’s incredible legacy.

We’re grateful to James’s family and all who supported this naming, and we invite you to visit and be inspired by his memory.

The two options in June are Tuesday, June 18th, at Panera in Longmont and Tuesday, June 25th, at Pints Pub in Denver.
