I’m sharing the beauty of Grief, written on my face… care to share yours?

We’re all grieving in one way or another.

Maybe there is strife or struggle with our Lover...
Maybe this is our first holiday without a loved one…
Maybe we’re facing an impossible decision…
Maybe we feel disowned or abandoned…
Maybe our hearts are crushed by the reckless violence in our world…

Grieving is such a deeply moving & impactful experience, and yet we hide it. In this era of rampant consumption and dissociation, this vital human experience often feels embarrassing when exposed. We feel shame.

And yet, that shame doesn’t belong to the grief-stricken… it belongs to the grief-suppressor.

It belongs to those who are in such denial over their own grief that they would cast judgment on another’s. For those who restrict access to safety for the grief-stricken.

In strangling their own grief, they attempt to control the social fabric to disallow any tangible signs of another’s grief.

Today I choose to be a Brave Griever.

Today, my action of loving defiance is to be visible in my deep, tumultuous sad.

Today, if maybe not tomorrow, I offer the precious gift of my grief.

And for all those of us who still feel ashamed, just keep loving your Self through it. Don’t let the less courageous turn your heart in on itself.❤️‍🔥
