Going live Thursdays at 7.15am for 30 mins of HIIT 🤸🏼‍♀️ Just incase any of you need a little boost to get out of bed in the morning! I’m doing live HIIT classes every Thursday! I started these at the beginning of lockdown and I have to say I just ❤️ love them! Now that the evenings are darker it’s even more reason to get up early see the sun and get a workout in so you can enjoy the cosy evenings knowing you’ve already smashed your workout! It’s never to late to start! 🙌🏼

Tough runs don’t last, tough runners do!
The start of the MK half, full of smiles even after a tough run a few days prior in training but I set off with a positive mind and a smile and it worked wonders! Great to be back out for a run last night and tonight I’m heading out round Caldecotte which was part of this route, only this time I won’t have another 7miles to go!! 🏅🏃🏼‍♀️

Eating well this week has been a focus ahead of my half marathon on Saturday. A good balance of carbs, protein, and fats has become a lifestyle change for me but I’d love to know what you eat pre race to make sure you have the energy you need! Cheers to stepping into September! I’m not sure what it is about this month but something feels different as we hit the 2nd..maybe it’s the new season...maybe it’s coming out of what we’ve been used to and going back into work...what ever it is I’m going into this with an open mind and realistic goals. The focus is on me, keeping on track with macros, on track with workouts and getting enough sleep, and being ok with days that don’t always go to plan, and most importantly to not lose what I’ve loved so much through all of this. Time in our beautiful home with my fiancé, we come first and I will not get carried away with over planning (it’s already started)

Best foot forward, ok so I certainly don’t look like this after my run this eve but I absolutely loved my training run this evening! Intensity training 🏅
Give this ago if you are working on your pace, what’s your average 5k pace?
Start with a light 5 min jog
Stop and do some dynamic stretches (demo to follow)
20 min main set:
Do a 2 min run at a pace that is faster than your average
Follow this with a 2 min run slower than your average
Keep repeating this until you do 5 of each!
Amazing to get used to breathing, moving your legs quicker and generally working on speed 🏅

This is me looking super happy about the fact that I’ve just finished my 30th live HIIT class on insta! Lockdown forced me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to focus on a goal I’ve had for years!

Monday motivation 🤸🏼‍♀️ here’s a little secret though... you might think based on my posts and knowing me that I always have heaps of motivation, wrong ❌ I, just like all of you have days where I can’t find the motivation to workout but I do have a few tips to help on days like these.
❗️Ask yourself is it lack of motivation or is it your body telling you to have a day off?
❗️What if you mix it up and instead of a HIIT workout you had planned, take some time to do yoga or stretch
❗️Why are doing this? what are your goals and are they still realistic and achievable or are they actually de motivating you
❗️Remind yourself..it’s ok and tomorrow is a new day
❗️If you aren’t enjoying it. Change it. Fitness should be fun and uplifting.
