The Liam M Ferguson Sepsis Foundation Story of this Charity
A severe septic shock survivor myself, I joined a Facebook support group for people who have had similar experiences.

Support for sepsis survivors and their loved ones in Seattle and NW England, the goal is to promote awareness of the challenges & long-term issues that survivors may face, and the ways in which these can impact their lives, and those of their loved ones. There, a guy who lived in NW England and I began speaking. It turns out that he got no aftercare for his serious sepsis episode. Although I did a

cross the world, this is a relatively common situation among sepsis survivors. We were friends for years before dating. He and I decided to form this organization. He sadly passed away with some lasting effects of sepsis, before it could get off the ground. It’s named in memory of him, so that others can remember that there are people with stories that have experienced this awful condition and its after-effects.

This is a sad story about an (American) football cheerleader. She died of septic shock - the story just said sepsis - days after delivering her daughter.
Septic shock: organ failure and low blood pressure, etc.
Sometimes news organisations don’t distinguish between sepsis and septic shock (or don’t learn), so there’s no way that the public will.

Ok, so Sepsis awareness month (last month) came and went without any posts from me.
I had intentions to post, and then life got in the way. I think Liam would be proud of me. It's not the path we planned on (yet), but I'm making forward progress.
Sepsis awareness is important all the time, not just in September!

I never thought I’d share anything about Love Island, but this just shows that anyone can get sepsis. She ignored an infection and it turned into sepsis.

Don’t ignore infections! 😊

Ok, so I haven't done much with this page yet. It's difficult doing it on my own when Liam and I were supposed to work on this together. But hopefully this is the year. Fingers crossed.

Hi everybody! Hope you're all well. I'm finally gonna start actually working on this project, at long last. I know I've said this before, but now it's true.
First up: weekly posts with symptoms of post-sepsis syndrome. (There will other posts in between, but look out for these! Super important)
